There is one general rule of tv shows/movies I wish that everyone would understand: sequels are never going to as good as 'the original'.
You have to look at them as two seperate entities instead of as a whole.
LoK is quite good, despite the choppy storylines and the love triangles.
The only reason why it was executed so badly, was because Nick only gave the team 12 episodes for season one to work with, so they had to cram as much as possible in very little episodes.
Season two was okay, but lacked the same stamina as the first season, but at least they got it back in the third season.
Just watch the first few episodes, and see for yourself if you like them.
