Yes.... I said overused.... the most overused Avis I see is Naruto. What characters you see are overused?

I see way too many FMA

I see MGS, KH, LoZ, etc.

I mean, I don't go there often, but I've seen them all the time. ._. They get votes regardless it seems. There's a "future riku" in the spot light. There's no such thing as "future riku" D8

I guess cosplaying as an Immortal from Jet Set Radio Future is TOO original. Nobody seems to know what JSR is, which is sad. ._.

Most overdone cosplay are:
Anyone from Naruto
Anyone from Bleach
Zero
Sonic
Anyone from Kingdom Hearts
Anyone from Final Fantasy

and any avatars which have no reference/are in the wrong arena.

Well you can say certain characters repeated from series like Naruto, Bleach, and what not; but to say everyone from said series sounds pretty downright ignorant.

What gives true meaning to the term overdone in cosplays are not just the ones that are done repetitively; It's the ones that are done repetitively and horribly. This occasionally happen as a result of artists being blindly faithful to their character.

It's either a result of the artists completely ignoring the basis of a good foundation due to lack of skill, or a lack innovation to create a original design which can effectively improve the overall concept of said cosplay.

Either way
Any widely known, anime or video game that's been either product of VIZ media, Square Enix, Funimation, or Nintendo for the last past 10-15 years or so.

If it's a very popular show or series it's likely overdone. If it's a recent movie that came out or is coming out, expect it to become overdone. If an EI evolves to have an item or pose that can be used to replicate a character expect that character to become overdone for a few weeks.

Naruto, Sailor Moon, Link, and Kingdom Heats I see the most of.

I'm surprised there isn't more TF2 now, sure there are a few, but not too often, and they are usually crappy scout ones.

Naruto is also pretty overused, particularly "Sexy no Jutsu" or whatever it's called. Seriously, there are so many of those! gonk
