House Rules

Question: Who are you two?
Answer: Sifen Yamishi is a GCD, AT and AvA regular who has run and judged contests for AT. An avid designer and competitor, Sifen has become affectionately known as the crossdressing Tim Gunn of Avatar Talk. As for Cecilia Wolfram Davidson, previously known as Felix Virgo and Wolfram Ysud, she is a Feedback, AT, and AvA regular/competitor who assists with a charity. Since creating their original account, Khesed Arietovi, Cecilia has crossdressed/gender-bent on Gaia for 6 years. She is known for her shade-throwing.

Question: Didn't mean your Gaia selves.
Answer: Fine. Sifen and Cecilia are both Texan transgendered transvestites. Sifen is from the Dallas area and Cecilia from the Houston area. We're lucky to be within driving distance of some trans-friendly places. We met on Gaia after (Cecilia's opinion) a really bad Arena week. Sifen was one of the winners and was the unfortunate witness to Cecilias shade skills. However, the past is in the past and we now critique and compete regularly.

Question: What's up with you two?
Answer: We hated each others guts, made up...and for some reason liked each other. We're currently dating.

Question: Why this theme?
Answer: Our relationship is a bit complicated to put into words, but upon glancing at the Grell/Sebastian pairing, it hit us. Those two are, oddly enough, exactly like us. Except that not only does Grell like Sebastian, the feelings are reciprocated. We also found an interview with the series creator stating that Grell is transgendered, so it fit.

Sebastian's Contract
(The Cosplay Arena Critiques)

1st Place

Memories: Little girl, please leave those premises. You don't know what dark forces live here.
Death Scythe: Pretty impressive I must say.
Film Strip: Yes. You deserved this win, madame.
Contract: For proving yourself to be so talented, I offer a contract to you. However, Sebastian is impressed with your skills as of late that he is becoming a fan. Don't disappoint him.

2nd Place

Memories: Something this adorable must be hiding a dark secret...or you're just the young lady who courts Ciel, but in some masquerade outfit...Hmm...
Death Scythe: It's a bit disheartening when you have to rely a lot on the Magical Girl/Soldier items just to make a good quality "Sailor Moon" girl. But at least you upgraded it just a touch.
Film Strip: Yes. A fine win for you.
Contract: Please, please, please take the advice I gave you last week. If you can't get out of the dainty damsels, maybe some femme fatales to give your gallery some variety.

3rd Place

Memories: -tilts head- Are you a statue, madam? Has your soul been taken out?
Death Scythe: Two things I am irked at are this. The hand that doesn't have anything in it, this should have been lowered. Your face needs a bit of work. Maybe Compass of Seidh for the eyes and a simple mouth might have helped.
Film Strip: Honestly, I have seen quite a lot of attempts in this character. But, this is the first I've seen for this attempt.
Contract: You're getting better in the Arena game, but I'd like to see you shake it up with a male character in the mix.

4th Place

Memories: It looks like you're one of us...are you?
Death Scythe: Major props to your layering, but her skin color is a bit off here. A bit too dark for this character.
Film Strip: Yes. Well done.
Contract: Sebastian offers you a contract and has deemed you worthy of being something to look forward to. He has become a fan as a reward for valiant efforts in this bloodbath.

5th Place

Memories: -wraps jacket over your shoulders- stare Grell, I'm helping the kid here. Yes, I love you still... stare Ignore her, kid. I'll deal with her later, once I get some food into your stomach.
Death Scythe: Honestly, I'm surprised you pulled this off. Then again, it's you. You're a wizard at what you do. 3nodding
Film Strip: Nicely played.
Contract: Okay. This is where I am at a crossroads. You've pulled off almost everything under the sun for Sebasitan. However, he would like to suggest something. Have you considered the illusion of drag avatars?

Grell's Scythe

While most of the winners are more than decent and worth skipping because they're good, i'm focusing on one entry that, in my humble opinion, did not merit placing at all.


Memories: This is a mess. Allow me to trim your hair.
Death Scythe: Not that impressive. In fact, the mess part in the first part of this critique was quite serious.
Film Strip: Absolutely not. i have already pointed out that your entry has massive flaws.
Contract: You will only win again because you have a small Chatterbox community backing you up with false confidence when your outfit, given AT standards, wouldn't get anything better than a 7 of 10.
