How important is the description?

I never read descriptions rofl

but I always try to make a good description when I enter... but I suck at it, so Im condemned to get a lot of coments complaining about the description :/

if I wanted to make a good story or something, I'd enter to the WRITING arena, not the AVATAR arena...

in the avatar arena, for me avatar >>> description.

of course an avatar need the description.. but 1'd or 2'd an entry just for the lack of the description is absurd.

Okay, this doofus aside, i don't think descriptions should be so dang important. i've seen so many entries that had good outfits but lousy comments saying "the description sucks so i'm voting you down"

I don't take points for not having a description, but I still like to see something other than "vote for me" or "just my avatar." Those are annoying. Bl
