Welcome, welcome! I'm Naramaru and I've decided to try my hand at critiquing!
So let me tell you a little bit about the name of my thread.
I hear a lot of people saying they have no hope left for the Arenas. Well, I'm quite the opposite. I still have some hope left. I've seen some very disappointing things, but I've also seen some great things.
Change is also on the horizon with the news Arenas on the way, so the hope still remains.
Apparently that's not true anymore... -3-

Just because I give you a low rating doesn't mean it gives you the right to flame me or anyone who agrees.
These are strictly my opinions, please, take them with a grain of salt.
If you don't agree, do tell me so but be civil or hold your fingers tightly.

The Lioness Queen


This is just not bad a** enough. Lioness' are regal and awesome, this is just kind of blah. I especially dislike the lack of mouth. I don't think this should even be in top ten, let alone first place.

Selestia: Booty Pirate


This one of those ones I wasn't sure about. Still not too sure about it. It matches but it's cluttered in a bad way. The face reminds me a little bit of a ganguro. It's cute I suppose and I liked the description, I just can't bring myself to really like it.

Definitely one of the best avatars this week. Love the colors and this is good clutter.

If it's winter, why is she inadequately dressed? You would think going out into the cold you would want to put some clothes on. Also, if she's supposed to be so holy, I wouldn't imagine that she'd dress so provocatively.This is very blah to me, it's a lot of white and it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Well, there are some rates that you gave that I didn't agree on, such as the last place one. You gotta remember that Gaia does not have a decent supply of mecha items. I felt that with what we currently have on gaia, it did very nice.

Gaia, in general, is not ready for mecha avis. Why? Because they rarely make anything mecha. And they do after everybody starts bitching and moaning. I would rather see more of them win.

And with the Doctor avi, they stated in their description that they do have the animated item on that allows their avi to become black and white. But the arenas don't allow it, which is fair considering that this arena was made before they ever made animated items. Who knows, maybe the new arenas will fix that...

I do hope to see more of your critiques. Not that many people do cosplay critiques and it's nice knowing that I'm not alone in doing them...

The Iron Man one is actually a good avi. I'm thinking I should give them a 3.5 instead, but maybe they should've used a different picture, like an older version maybe. And you're right, Gaia doesn't have very many Mecha items and they do need more. -hint, hint Gaia-

Just be honest. Don't sugar-coat things. If you don't like something, then state it. But also make sure that you try to give some helpful critiques when you are able to.

But yeah, I look forward to see what you think about them.
