I'm gonna roughly agree with you there. I remember when there was only one category in arenas, and its not fair that peoples judgement on category placements are affecting the rating. There are different ideas about where the line between 'original' and 'cosplay' is, and bias on either side is just as bad as - like you pointed out - saying 'I dont watch this 1/5'.

However, say its less expensive to try genderbending characters [hypocrisy lol] because a dress vs. pants are dramatic price change, or a gender potion is too permanent. Then the rating may either go down because it assumed that's lazy, or go up because there was actually more work put into using the opposite gender.

In short, people should just really pay more attention to how much work is put into the portrayal before going straight to their morals of where it goes.

One last informal point, calm your [breasts]. I'm don't wanna read big-bad-red-caps because it hurts eyes to do so. There's bold for a reason and you don't need to push that hard to get people to read it. Be rational when making your point.

A genderbender potion is NOT permanent. It's why people need to save gold before entering the arena honestly. That 10k could go into making a better avatar.

As for 'genderbend' if the person entering the arena is saying 'hey I used the female base because this guy is slender' or 'this woman is really stocky, I used the male base' then I'm fine with it. But if they're doing just to do and then start complaining about the comments, that's where I have the issue. I'm sorry but it's honestly not that expensive to change a gender and you get two free potions on top of that.

I rate based on how good the avatar, not if I don't like the show. But I can't say that for other people however. And yes that is crappy that people do vote that way, but honestly...sometimes seeing too much of the same character done the EXACT same way gets a little tiring and it's so easy to click that 1 and go on.

And I can't pay attention to how well an avatar until I know it's in the right arena. I'm sorry but if an 'original' wins in the 'cosplay', then that's not fair to a person who puts lots of a hard work into an excellent cosplay, especially if it is nothing from a show/book/movie/etc.
