Anyone Else Tired Of People?

Honestly.

I have entered cosplays and they get rated low FOR NO REASON.

I have seen cosplays win that look NOTHING like the character!

My current cosplay, Minto, is as close as you can possibly get and I get rated low because of assholes in the arenas?

It just depends on the voters' feelings of the weeks.

But I know what you're coming from.
I cosplayed a book character a while ago, that is, no reference picture could be provided, so I included the word for word description from the book. I was heavily downvoted because there was no reference image provided, even though I provided a detail description from the book.

It comes with the anon nature on the internet.
There are always going to be people that down vote for no reason.
All you can do is your best. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

You do have to remember that even the people who do say "5/5" can really be rating you 1's. There are also a lot of people that will jump on mules (or make them) just to downvote others so they have a better chance at winning.

People also vote down on people's Avis just so they can win in the arenas. For example one guy might ask all of his friends to vote him 5/5 (and he would probably use his mule accounts to vote him up) and he and all of his friends might go vote everyone down just so they won't win. It happened to me once. I had a decent avi and people voted down. So people on the Internet is pretty dumb to do such a thing. No need to ask your friends to vote you up. Just let people's opinions do the voting.

It's YOUR duty to provide a reference not for everyone else to go looking for it for you.

It wouldn't make a difference. People would just write 5/5 and really still be giving you a 1/5.

Funny how your attacking me when I always used the feature on my entries. There is really no excuse anymore not to use a search engine anymore since browsers adopted the use of going automatically to a search engine if you didn't enter a url with your words. Unless your using a rock for a computer.

EDIT: gotta love typing on a tablet with big thumbs. The only problem is if you just put "L" or any other character name that share a characteristic like a letter, you might get that a few letter/of the similar until you actually see the character. And book-only entries kinda suffer if they don't have art/movie of the character.

If Gaia really wanted to solve this problem of not using the ref image space, they would have made it a setback to enter the cosplay arenas.

I guess so too plus you want to save time from the person who is checking trolling votes. Still hate the anon of the arenas.
