The problem we have here is that the Battle MMO uses the word "gypsy" in describing a new NPC by the name of Nicolae. From Europe, there is an ethnic minorty of people who are basically systematically discriminated against in many parts of Eastern Europe, known as the Roma. Their derogatory name is Gypies. We have Roma on Gaia, the author of the petition is Roma. While America doesn't have many people of the Roma minority here (indeed they are a true minority), Gaia also has a significant userbase in Europe. I guess my point is: why would Gaia violate a certain part of their ToS, which states you cannot post any words or statements that could potentially offend someone, indirectly with a description of an NPC? |

On the topic of Battle, I've got a quick question. Will Craftable recipes be reusable or will they be consumed when you make the item? It would be interesting to see a new section of the economy form as people collected recipes in order to become Blacksmiths of sorts. But that's only if the recipe doesn't get eaten up when crafting the item. Also, are recipes going to be rare loot drops like rings or will they be reasonably common? |
