Currently there are no plans for dolls that are based on users. If we are ever making that type of an item, it'll be an item that users can create, not something where Gaia create for the celebration of any individual. So imagine if you can make an item of your best friend and "equip" him/her, for example.

All my friends had got to watch the concert, but I missed it because I was attending Otakon that weekend. So maybe next time

Hey Lanzer, I hope you had a good weekend.

Ever since dolls started coming out en masse, Gaians have started petitions to be made into dolls. On the first page of the Petition Forum there are usually at least 4 cluttering up the forum.

I'm not ok with the fact that Gaians are having a popularity contest in trying to get to be infamous by being a doll. One is saying that she/he's spent hundreds of dollars on Gaia and so should be a doll. Another is saying that his/her Gaian fanfiction character should be a doll, effectively making that character an NPC.

It's turning into a popularity contest that is not going to end well. Are there plans for making select users into dolls, and if so, why? I feel that it is elitist in the extreme. After all, devs and admins have done so much for Gaia, why should someone who hasn't get to be that elite and recognized?

A less serious question:
Have you gotten to see Nobuo Uetmatsu and Arnie Roth's Distant Worlds: Music From Final Fantasy concert? It's quite good and I highly recommend it if you get the chance.

Many of the server NPC were named because they needed a name, we had about 50 servers before we figured out that there were too many names to take care of. biggrin Now days we just have to stick with numbers. Clyde was never meant to be a real NPC, sorry!

We're starting to talk about it since many Gaians found interest, but unless Gaians ask, we wouldn't be developing much of the character...

I'll need to stalk her for a while to come up with the facts. biggrin

1. User Lucca Ashtear pointed out that in the old days, Gaia's servers were named after its NPCs. Some of these NPCs weren't released until much later, like Bildeau. One servername was 'Clyde'. Lucca Ashtear wants to know;

Is there now, or were there ever, plans for an [NPC] Clyde?

2. The Hatsya Fanthread wants to know this question that is very important to all her fans.

Is there a future for Hatsya, as an official NPC on Gaia?

3. The Josie Fanthread wants to ask:
