Welcome to Gaia! ::

Hello, will you ever have a convention tour in Winnipeg, Manitboa, Canada?

Would it be possible to add a new feature that allows a user to block an ignored person from their profile - without requiring the user to close the profile to all or to all but friends?

Currently, I have someone who will not stay off and who continues on to my friends' profiles. I should be able to block this intrusion without having to be limited by a private or semi-private profile. And without having to deal with reports.

In fact, most users assume an ignored person cannot get onto their profile.

Hmm, originally the idea behind ignore is that the person being ignored wouldn't know they're being ignored, and in turns the invasive person wouldn't go create a mule or something. It's unfortunately a tough issue to handle as accounts can be created easily on Gaia. I believe that reports would be the only effective way to handle harassment issues.

A problem in the forums though is that if someone is on your ignore list, they can still quote you in a regular thread and you'll get a notification that they quoted you with something. Users don't know whether to report them for harassment for continually trying to contact them, or if the ignored user just didn't know that someone had them on ignore.

What about tipping posts in guilds? That's one of the main things I had in mind when asking.

More is planned (for one, delete forum, but stuff after that, too).

All these fancy questions.... D:

- Do you guys play Pokemon? If so, what are your favorite Pokemon?
- Are you going to do more with guilds, or are they going to stay the way they are?

Why not make D*C a permanent shop with permanent items? It's the perfect gold-sink, and it could be very well one of the best solutions to the inflated economy on here, or atleast a very good one. I'm also curious as to why the items cycle in and out, because (imo) if the items stayed there, people would quest for them and more might be bought from there. I'm almost worried you guys aren't realizing all the wonderful benefits D*C could provide you in the inflation-department xD

Also, slightly random, but could you give us any hints on the cookies? Or even how to get them? I'm befuddled on how to obtain them

xD

Thanks for your suggestions. We've been monitoring DC as a possible gold sink though the response had been limited. The idea behind having the items in circulation was to allow users who purchased the items to have slightly higher exclusive rights while the item is off the store. Well we'll continue supporting the store, and introducing other gold sink that is beneficial to all Gaians.

That's it for this week's ATA! See you all next Monday!

I have a question and a suggestion.

Question: So, how much gold did Pie Hard take out of the system, anyway? If you don't want give exact numbers, would you at least say it was a highly successful gold sink, or maybe not so successful? Just curious.

Don't have that info offhand, but I'll post it along with other statistical and general goodies as part of my event "postmortem" in my next journal entry.

Both of these will become apparent soon. You will want to hold onto them.

1/ When the animated items no longer needed to be charged, it was implied that the un-used stellerite would gain a use...... when/is this gonna happen?

2/ Cookies.... what they for?
