Finally got to watch Thor last weekend, surprised at how great the CG and design was. Never though a movie about a guy with a big hammer can be this good. biggrin

Dear Lanzer,

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Thor, I might go to see it soon myself.

In other matters, I have a few questions and suggestions about a few things.

Item wise, have you considered extending the Toxic Kitten item into different colors? I've seen many different renditions of items, such as the Marionettes, and I think the Toxic Kitten would be quite popular. Or the Porridge items, which there are three of, but I would love more, and I'm sure many others would, as well. Also, the Melody items! I would very much like for there to be a blue or black one.

Housing wise, I understand gaia staff has been very busy with items, financial issues, and zOMG, but why haven't there been any housing item updates? Houses is, in itself, a part of towns, and I believe it'd be nice to improve the slightly dull homes.

zOMG! wise, I'm wondering if you have considered incorporating zOMG into facebook? Facebook has teamed up with many different games and websites, Zynga, for example, and seeing as gaia is getting a bit more involved in facebook now, I think it would be very popular, and increase the user population on gaia itself. Just an idea.


Update wise, do you have an idea of when the Outfit Marketplace will be done? I really liked the idea when it came out, and I'm truly looking forward to the release.

And finally, a question that you most likely get all too much, have any of the admins tried to improve the banning system? One of my friends was banned for their age, and I think that gaia would be far better taken if you made some kind of parent system in order for children under the age of 13 to be on gaia. A filter, parental controls, something of the like. Many people would appreciate it, I'm sure. Some kind of gaia court would be good, as well.

I hope you reply, for I would very much love to hear your opinion on my thoughts ^-^

I have a question; How come when you look up some items they say (male) or (female) after them but when you go into the store it says that the item is not recognized and can not be found?

oh and How come we can't sell our Zomg rings in MP anymore?

Not sure about the first one, sounds like a bug. Bug Reports Forum - make sure you provide links to the broken items and as much other information as you think might be helpful.

As for Zomg rings, they are intentionally soul-bound. We want some things on Gaia to be available only to those who participate in an activity. If you could buy buffed up rings, you could basically buy your way into a higher level into the game. Just like in other games, you can't buy exp, you have to earn it by killing monsters, etc.

And I guess I understand, but then how come some people are still able to sell their rings on VMP?

Not sure what you mean by VMP - but I believe rings become soul-bound once you put them in your Zomg inventory. I'm not sure exactly how it works. There may also be rings that are supposed to be soul-bound but aren't because of past bugs. Sorry I can't give you a definitive answer, not too familiar with it.

because then you would have all the rings costing 10GG (since they are so plentiful ingame)

you would have CL10.0 noobs (noobier than the ones we have now) generally angering the entire community because they have no idea what they are doing.

then they would complain to z!F because they are not getting invited into crews or because they keep failing at SS/EB (the only reason they would want to become CL10, to abuse SS/EB for gold)


and it spirals downward from there 3nodding

Why is that? Let noobs be noobs, I'm just tired of them taking up inventory when I never play zOMG, and EVERYONE abuses zOMG for gold, not just noobs, and they already complain about everything, even zOMG now, so who cares?

It wouldn't be fair to the people that worked hard to get their rings to cl. 10.
I could see if the had a sellback option. That way you get gold, would clear out your inventory, and others would not be able use them.

That is exactly what happened when zOMG first came out.
If you are worried about all the rings in your inventory just salvage the ones you don't need.

Uh, I got my a** handed to me about 5 times for asking the same question @ Housing
Simply:

Main dev that made housing left, no other devs know how to code in the oooollllddd code which is housing, and it would take them extreme amounts of effort and time to learn, and housing isnt that worth it over other projects.

zOMG! wise;;

Intrigating the facebook API etc.. for zOMG would take tons of time / might not go with zOMG that well... I think. <-Improberlywrong.

I do have some items I'd love to see addressed:

A while back in CB,there was a Sticky that said that CB was a forum not just for spam posting.However,a few weeks ago,this was removed and it cannot be found.Where did this go and why?

Also,the 'Reg Listings'/Nudedrops/Namedrops/"U Mad"/"Haters Gonna Hate"/etc. in CB has gotten out of control and it is causing many users,such as myself to really stress that all of this end altogether.The 'Reg Listings' especially breach the ToS,given how this is just a giant block of text full of namedropping that inflicts drama along with making users feel left out on this site just because their names are not on there.

How are you going to be making this site a more friendly place,given how one section of this site has gotten to the state where you cannot post out of fear of being harassed by users who will be ruthless and torment you just for posting?

As far as the Arenas are,when will the new changes be implemented so one does not have to rely on popularity just to place?

Mainly in short,can you find a way to retune the site so popularity on here won't have to be a factor just to exist along with finding a way to stop cyberbulling on the site itself?

Itemwise:
Do you guys plan to make any items based off the series "Moonlight"?
Is there a chance we might get some drag items/a drag themed RIG?
More cooking items/Iron Chef themed RIG?

All staff here undoubtfully want the community to be more friendly and open. It's something we're looking into through adjusting the sub forum rules and creating new chat spaces.

We're thinking of various rating system that rest out side of the contest environment, where Gaians can get feedback about our avi's. As far as arenas go, it will continue to be difficult as the system has no solid way of telling when one user is being voted by supporters or the general public.

The rings before the soulbounding and they haven't been equipped.
They can still be sold, but as soon as you equip them they turn soulbound.
