Edit: Also, any update on freeing up account names from the very early years that aren't used anymore? Perhaps users can petition to get obviously abandoned accounts freed up, so the ones that REALLY want the name can get it that way. There are a few I want that haven't been active since probably the day they were created and are barren accounts with nothing but starter items to their names, most likely. heart

Hopefully, people have hard-to-guess passwords -- I mean, it's only "easy" to guess a password if people are using common passwords.

Changing the flow (i.e., so that the password change can't happen until verified on by the old email and/or waiting three days) is probably out of scope for the near future, but as a minimum we could potentially send a notification e-mail to the old e-mail address.

and instantly change the user's e-mail address WITHOUT
the original owner even being notified.
The real owner of the account then has no clue that they've been hacked until it is too late.
Shouldn't there be a tool that sends an e-mail to the current e-mail
notifying it that there has been a request to change e-mails?
That way if the account is being hacked, the user at least gets some kind of notice
as to when the hacking took place?

Could you guys pencil in looking at the minimum? I know, I wouldn't expect anything to happen RIGHT NOW, but could you guys bring it up at a meeting in the future? smile

-Many of us miss the level of interactivity the Zurg event had with being able to literally chat with the NPCs. Is there any chance for some User/NPC forum interaction in the near future? It's been a long time since we've seen that sort of thing.

It's possible but doing so is tricky. It's very hard to get a large level of npc interaction and still maintain story integrity. I personally love having npc interaction for events but it's just not practical to have them often because no matter how hard we may try at some point it will introduce plot holes... but who knows what the future holds...

Wasn't there stuff like that in last year's Halloween and Xmas Events?

The theme of this year's summer event will be different. We'll consider bringing the Imps back though.

Surprisingly the Centaurs and Orcs weren't that popular at all, which lead us to not follow that route further...

Calm, down. We had Imps during the rejected Olympics. And the Easter Bunny is barely cybernetically enhanced.

I am calm. But that was so long ago wasn't it? The vampires and elves have gotten more introduction that the imps have. It's not like I'm against robots entirely, I just want to see more imps, if anything.
Maybe a robot vs imp war, so we'll both be happy

Yeah, I understand it can be rather difficult to integrate that sort of thing into an event with how large the userbase is and the chaos that ensued with some of the things that occurred during the Zurg event.
However, it would be cool to have NPCs visit the forums, outside of events.

A user in Site Feedback has brought a VERY serious issue to my attention that I think needs looking into.
(GCD Elf 088 a couple posts down is this user)
Every user's account security is at risk due to one flaw.
The e-mail change tool in account settings.

Thanks for sharing the concern with us. We track all changes on our servers so nothing is actually lost. Though I understand that it's valuable to have notifications being sent to the original address.

We'll look into the problem with profiles also. Hopefully we'll have our own image hosting solution soon.

Hey Lanzer! How was your weekend? These are always so fun to read, but this time I have a question instead of lurking.

Will the Devilsh Sleeve grant be fixed? A lot of users, myself included, have gotten the cash from a 100+ offer, along with a PM saying that we have the sleeves, but don't. Posting in the bugs forum hasn't seemed to fix the issue at all! Can something be done about it?
