I've been noticing lately a few posts in these things about zOMG.
Now, I'm not one to post in AtA's because I always get skipped, but zOMG is something that I, as well as many people are quite passionate about, and these run-around answers are very frustrating not only to me, but clearly to a lot of people.
You have always said that the zOMG community is a very passionate community, with a deep love of a game on this website. A lot of people (I figure from posts Ive read) really feel like you're trying to snuff out that fire without saying it directly. You're really putting the community through hoops and frankly, we're getting tired of it.
You put out a game. Of course you get the initial surge of people wanting to try it out.. That surge died, and left you with the group of people who really want to play. The people who have "paid to play" for lack of a better word, since we've been told on and off again that when we buy powerups, and amulets and bloodstones we're "supporting zOMG".. Yet you take away all the devs and leave one part time to fix things here and there, on a contract.
You show no investment in the game, therefore you lose players. You have to show you acknowledge that people still love and play the game to get the results you seem to want. Putting out a new area, such as Buccaneer Boardwalk, or Dead Mans Shadow as "last-ditch" efforts
simply is not good enough. YOU need to show us, that you believe in us.
Look into my records of how much of my hard earned money I have DUMPED into your pockets. I PROMISE you it is probably around the $700.00 range. I've been on this website since 2004.. You've just kept digging and digging for money. Promising this, if we give you x amount of money.
Look at the Bloodstones and Amulets as a prime example. If you can't see the passion from a community through that, then please find someone who can.
zOMG deserves just as much attention as any other feature on this website! Especially if people are buying powerups with cash.. I've personally stopped buying powerups with Cash, because I want that money to go to zOMG, like it should.. Not into a giant pot that helps pay your wages.. Or for those shoddy Facebook games that are popular for a month and then die off.. Instead of sinking time and effort into those games.. Why not invest more time in improving what you have instead of wasting time and money on a feature that keeps resulting in the same thing.
Do you really think that HoC is going to not follow suit of zOMG? Right now you probably don't, but it's still a new game, and there's time for it to flop.
wink I personally hope it does. My point will thus be proven.
You need to find a better way of integrating zOMG with Gaia. Advertise it here and there. Tweek some features.
Why is it that you can make a TON more gold from HoC than you can from zOMG? Entice your users with Gold. They will come.
You need to seriously rethink what you're doing with zOMG. People are begging you for it.. How is it that users can petition of features around the website, or items, and it happens.. but when people beg and petition for zOMG, it seems to be disregarded.. Or taken lightly.
How can these just be over-looked?
If you actually came to the community and asked us questions, or suggestions on things, you would be flooded with answers.
I'd like to see straight forward answers, and please.. Do not link me to Narumi Misuhara's journal.. I've already read it.
