Unfortunately, after six months of rousing success, it seems that the Zoo's time has come to an end. The Zoo is closed, effective immediately.

The artists are grateful for all the customers we've had-- regulars and hit-and-runners alike-- and we thank everyone for sharing in the adventure with us.

All artists will likely be involved in new creative ventures in the near future, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Akijika, w0nd3r_k, Jullian de Akillian, and Artfully Devious, as well as the previous members of the Zoo.

⊰ Please do not yell or try to spook the animals. Please be kind to both the artists and the fellow patrons and bumpers. Rudeness, flaming, or other nasty behavior will be warned once (depending on severity) then blocked and blacklisted and, such behavior persists, reported. Sorry!
⊰ Please do not try to take the animals from their habitats. Do not try to claim any art created in this shop as your own. Art can be used in any way you please, so long as it is not to gain any sort of currency (fictitious or otherwise), and so long as you credit it. You may not remove the artists signatures under any condition and must ask before editing it. (for example, ask before coloring a line art)
⊰ Please keep in mind that this is a zoo, not a circus. No artist here has to draw anything and has the right to turn town any art.
⊰ You must buy your ticket before entering the zoo. All trades must be started before art will be worked on, and all trades will be accepted before the art is sent. Any person who neglects to pay an artist for completing their art will be reported.

May I present to you…The Lion!

The lion (Panthera leo) is the only large cat known today to be social and travel in prides (a group of lions). Female lions can have up to three cubs and are taken care of by all the lionesses in the pride. When it’s dinner time, the lioness(es) will split away to hunt while the rest of the pride cares for the cubs.

The lioness you see before you is unique in her own way and prefers to stay with traditional styles of art!

More about our lion:
⊰ She’s 21 and has been learning anatomy at a stellar pace since the shop opened.
⊰ Prefers to work during the night time (especially when it involves food)
⊰ She likes: Drawing, running, trying/learning new things, and learning about different cultures, and practicing her beliefs.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: The Sloth!

Sloths are one of the six species of medium-sized mammals belonging to the families Megalonychidae (two-toed sloth) and Bradypodidae (three-toed sloth), part of the order Pilosa and therefore related to armadillos and anteaters, which sport a similar set of specialized claws. They are arboreal (tree dwelling) residents of the jungles of Central and South America.

This particular sloth is one of a kind- she's especially talented with a tablet!

More about our sloth:

⊰ She is fairly nocturnal, preferring to be awake between the hours of 1:30pm est and 5:00am est. (That is when you are most likely to catch her online.)

Purchasers of the first tier of grab bags will receive one of a variation of simple chibis with simple coloring and/or shading, with or without a background. They may be stick chibis, monochromatic chibis, inked chibis, or silly chibis.

Ladies and Gentlemen, catch her if you can-- let's hear it for THE CHEETAH!

The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is a large-sized feline inhabiting most of Africa and parts of the Middle East. The cheetah achieves by far the fastest land speed of any living animal—between 112 and 120 km/h (70 and 75 mph) in short bursts covering distances up to 500 m (1,600 ft), and has the ability to accelerate from 0 to over 100 km/h (62 mph) in three seconds. This cat is also notable for modifications in the species' paws. It is one of the only felids with semi-retractable claws, and with pads that, by their scope, disallow gripping. Thus, cheetahs cannot climb upright trees, although they are generally capable of reaching easily accessible branches.
