Moonlight Egg

The sirens around the town echoed through the sky and fell into a steady stream of repeated noise. A killer was out and the people had to hide within their homes. In a house on the far end of the street, a girl with short raven hair looked from out her window and wondered what the killer looked like. "I have never seen one.." The girl whispered to herself. In all the years that she lived in the supposedly safe neighborhood, this was the first time they had a serious case leading to fear of the citizens. "I wonder if he's going to come.." She said, staring through the window and thinking back.

-Flashback-
"Help!" A little girl screamed, the after effects of the crash were massive. Two cars were piled upon the other into the shape of a mountain. The other driver had been drinking just a few hours ago. "Sweetie what's your name?" An officer said. The little girl stared at the officer with tear-stained eyes "Erin" The officer smiled and started writing onto a clipboard, "Well Erin, I think you know what condition your mom is in but we'll try our best" She said.

"Best isn't enough.."

A small light was shining through the car as Erin looked over to the crash. She cautiously made her way to the car and silently picked the object up. "An egg?" She thought. The egg was a bright orange with tiny wings that bounced against the moonlight. She rolled it around her hand and wandered what it was.

"Do you have a wish?"

She looked around for the source of the voice and almost dropped the egg as she realized the egg had spoken. "I'll make any wish come true in exchange for something else"

"What do you want?" Erin asked.

"I want the ability to feel." The egg replied

"Why would you want that?"

"That's none of your buisiness."

"What do I get?"

"The revival of your mother."

Erin stared at the egg in wide eyes. "You'll revive her?" The egg flapped it's wings and flew up until they were eye-level. "Of coruse, in exchange for the ability to feel." The raven haired girl smiled in delight and agreed "Okay, as long as you revive her."

-Flashback end-

Oh yea. That's right. She couldn't feel now. Erin had long forgotten what it felt like to love, to be happy, to be sad, or scared. "It's not like it matters anyway." She said to herself. The window had let in a nice amount of moonlight for her to be able to see. Police cars surrounded the streets and flashing red lights blinded her from far away. She
