So you would recommend it? I've been thinking about seeing it, but I'm not sure.

I would. Obviously, it's pretty bloody, but the blood doesn't look real at all, and they only show him killing about six or seven people (although two are pretty brutal).

There's also a bit of implied rape, and obviously the whole thing with Mrs. Lovett's pies is pretty gross. But when I saw it I was so engrossed in the plot that all that really didn't seem too bad, and the nastiness is definitely not the main point of the movie.

I would love to see that play too. The songs were awesome. It's not all that bad, though my friend couldn't really watch it, he said he couldn't stomach it. Eh. But! The plot is awesome.
