The other day I was in Kmart because I wanted some candy and I saw a tabloid headline about Hilary Clinton being involved in a gay scandal. Then I think I saw something a while back about Obama being involved in a gay relationship with that church guy.

The 'established" media has turned into the tabloids basically..... seriously all they care about is how awful they can portray a canadate and ask the most pointless questions over and over. All the debates I've see, none of the moderators asked a single question about any of the issues. I read the papers, I watch the news and read the articles on the websites and none of them tell me what the canadates stand for. No wonder there are so many undecided and apathetic voters.

One of the things I hate about politics is that the candidates will promise this and that, but will never tell us how they will fulfill these promises. They either bullshit some sort of answer, beat around the bush, restate the question . . . It leaves me undecided.

I don't look at the tabloids because I know that they are nothing but bullshit and all the writers want is a quick dollar. >_>;;;

I can shed some light on what Hillary and Obama stand for.

- They advocate gay rights
- They both advocate quality education for all children, esp. Hillary

And that's about it.
The only reason why the media is going ballistic over the two of them with "gay scandals" is because they advocate for gay rights and for gay citizens to get equal treatment with taxes, benefits, and the like.
That and the people who "come out" with the BS stories just want their 15 minute fame. Puleaze - I can do chores and eat food in 15 minutes.
That's better use of my time than lying.

They reel you in with the hook, then once they have your attention, they try to wow you with what they think they got.
Think of it as a marketing scheme. You try to make the product look better by making it sound better, but in the end the product is just like any other, right?

A friend of mine thinks that the writers of these tabloid stories either spins a wheel or draws random names and places and events out of a hat to determine what the story will be about, sometimes with a dash of stretching the truth . . . @___@

The only reason why I'd read them is for a cheap laugh of how pathetic the stories sound, and that's only when I'm waiting in a checkout line.

On that note, though...I agree with the tabloid thing. Tabloids are really just laughable. The only real tabloid I'm aware of that actually does research to some extent is People magazine. Other than that, all the others are just gossip chasers. Except for that tabloid that purposely makes up random s**t. Y'know, the one that says something like "Nostradamus predicts you will pick your nose in May 2090 with a stick!" or other silly s**t like that.

One of the tabloids I read always had stories about such and such hillbillie in Arkannsas is having an alien family, or they found some new pictures of the lockness monster and bigfoot.

I like Obama simply because he's someone I feel that i can relate to. He's of a mixed race like myself, he;'s younger than the other candidates so he not only brings some fresh ideas but he can relate to the younger voters like myself. I' amazed to see how many college students and minorities are coming out and pledge their support for him. However at times I feel that people are not voting for him simply because "he's black" and they're trying to say that "he's not experienced or he's too intelligent"

People is probably the most respectable of the tabloids; at least they don't seem as though they are out to bash every celebrity that they see. Star, Us, In Touch, OK Magazine . . . Ugh . . . . "Celebrities Without Makeup" "Celebrities With Eating Disorders" "Are They Pregnant or Just Getting Fat?"

It's like the same crap over and over, usually accompanied with a really bad picture of a celebrity that obviously looked Photoshopped . . .
