My aunt died in 1991 from a car accident; she was hit and killed by a drunk driver. Part of me feels that if I was to drink, I would be insulting her memory, knowing that I was drinking the same stuff that contributed to her death . . .

A lot of people in my family smoke; I don't though because of breathing problems, how bad it is healthwise and how bad it smells. It's sad that my pop-pop died of cancer caused by smoking back in 1984, yet my mom continues to smoke several packs a day despite telling my dad that she only smokes one . . . I don't get it . . .

I can't drive, so I don't drink and drive. And when I -do- drink, I do it at the house or in a bar, and if I am at a bar, I have a sober friend pick me up and drop me off at home. :3

I just wish more people could be as responsible as you are . . .

Sometimes my sister comes home drunk from drinking too much. And often than not I hear her throwing up in the middle of the night from all of the alcohol she had consumed . . .

I understand that a drink or two is fine; I hear that wine is even good for the liver or the heart (I forget off of the top of my head). But what I don't get is why some people drink and get drunk for the fun of it . . .

People online think I'm a heavy drinker, but when I tell them that I dont drink, people are shocked.

I rarely drink and I barely drive. In fact I think its stupid to live in a City like Chicago and own a car. Especially when you live right next to a train station that takes me diectly to downtown.

@Danni: And with gas prices as bad as they are, it saves a lot of money to walk and take the train/bus/subway/etc than to drive everywhere . . .

@Lae Anna: I'm all right, minus losing my wallet earlier. I think I left it in a friend's car, so everything should be all right. And you?

I also tend to eat bananas and drink orange juice when I'm depressed because I have problems keeping my potassium up and when it gets too low I get into these horrible depression spells, so usually after a banana or two I start to feel better. ^___^
