I'm just mad about how the Cubs lost that game. That loss reminded me of all the times I thought I had situations won but later I would up losing or not even being in the top 10. it felt so humiliating. Its like you can see success right in front of you only to see it taken away at the very last second.

Sounds like the story of Philadelphia sports . . . And the times where I tried my hardest at something but don't win anything, usually because someone close to or related to the one running the whatever (or someone who is considered "pretty" or "hot" or "sexy" ) got it instead and not because of putting hard work into it . . .

I'm sure the Cubbies will be okay . . .

I grew up with sports... it was either that or being a gangbanger. Either way, where I was brought up Sports was pretty important in my family. Not necessarily one of us actually becoming a professional but Sports was the only thing that kept the family from tearing each other apart.

Damn, maybe it's because I'm from the west coast - land of apathy. But the only thing my family has in common is alcoholism. My mum and father's side had alot of alcoholics, and my dad quit when he was diagnosed with Hepatitis C. But Seeing as both parents were alcoholics, and now I drink alot too..
