-His read ribbon turned into a headband of sorts.
- I gave him a green cropped vest, cropped making it more 'cute' and 'feminine'. I haven't decided on buttons, But I plan to pull the look together more with more do dads and stuff in the later drafts.
- on one picture I played with what it would look like if his hair grew out(a more carefree look),
the other I gave him hair that was half way slicked back(trying to be more mature).
- I like the shorts more, out of the two choices, because it stays with that androgynous feel.
- Being in the army, (or giving his cloths an army like feel) I gave him a lot of compartments on his clothes.
- for color scheme, I chose green (to represent the army feel) and orange (to give a bit of a feminine side with out clashing too much with his already red ribbon.)
-I gave him knee-length boots, I haven't decided to rather give him long socks or cover the remaining skin showing with bandages.

I love the general feel you put into both of them, and the ribbon idea was fantastic!
the hair...oh gosh, maybe do a some-what combination of both? But the slicked back look...I think it suits it a little more. I do like both a lot though. > .<
C: I agree with you on the shorts as well, it keeps more to his own personality as well.
The socks may be a bit of an odd thing, being that he's in a war zone...but then again, they would suit the character well.

overall, you have amazing ideas! The little details especially bring it together. o w o ERGH I'm sorry i'm not being a huge help. xD;; I guess I just like to see artistic freedom? C: but really, the way you're going so far is really close to what I've had in mind.
