I NEED TO MAKE A NEW BANNER LAWL
Hi everyone, and welcome to Holy Dust: A starving artist's bid for more gold.
Hi everyone, and welcome to Holy Dust: A starving artist's bid for more gold.
FlamessNight is the name, and art commissions are... well... not really a game, but who needs to know that? Alas, I am here to peddle my wares, and there is naught to be done about it. So as long as I'm here, you may as well know who I am. Located squarely in the furnace in God's basement (otherwise known as Florida), I'm an artist, gamer, a collector of strange and rare things, and a fulltime programmer.
I work in traditional ink and pencil ways, and use a wide variety of tools for the job at hand, including markers from Prismacolor, Copic, Trai Pantone, White Ink, Deco Color paint pens, Copic Air Brush System, and Prismacolor pencils for some things here and there. I do also weave deep Photoshop magics, but I'm not able to delve into those for commission purposes due to extensive production times.
I have a bit of a backlog of art you can take a look at to help decide if you want to spend your hard-farmed gold on lil' ol' me. DeviantArt, ho!

Before you get all giddy and post a haphazard "PLZ DRAW MY AVI LAWL.", kindly take into consideration a few things.
1) First off, if I'm going to be drawing your avi, please make it reasonable in design. If you have so many shiny items that I'd be better off just throwing a lensflare on a black background and calling it a day, you're probably wasting the time of both of us to have it drawn.
2) If it goes beyond avi and into Original Character territory, then I'm going to be awfully particular about getting everything right. This may sound good, but remember that I'm going to need a lot of information about the character to have it done well. Include a thorough description.
3) I watermark my work. Sorry if this seems unfair, but it's non-negotiable. I will, however, attempt to make it unobtrusive as possible.
4) Orders that look like they were written by lobotomy patients will be lightly glanced over, sighed at with regret, and summarily deleted if not first mocked. I use intelligible if imperfect English. Not too much to ask the same of you.
5) It's perfectly fine to be social in here. Chat someone up. Ask questions about art or whatever you may. I really don't bite. And I certainly hope I don't have to add the general speil of "be nice, don't flame, respect others". Just do it.
6) Yes, if you place an order, it will be done. As previously mentioned, I work fulltime and have something that vaugely resembles a social life. I only take 5 commissions at a time for this reason, and I do work on them all. But that doesn't mean you can spam me if you think I'm taking too long. Also, commissions are done on a first-come, first-served basis. No favorite playing here, so take a number.
Three cheers for paperwork! If you decide you wanna have some art done, here's what I'm gonna need from you, in the form of a PM with the title "Art Commission".
Subject: Art Commission
1) What you want. (Chibi, Bust, Full Body)
2) Who is going to be in the picture, and what they look like. Prices will vary depending on how many people and maybe complexity of the avitars' designs.
3) If it's an OC, I'll need a complete description including general build, hair details, clothing, defining marks, eyes, props they might have, and colours.
I'll reply back ASAP with how much you will owe me.
--Pricing at a Glance--
These are ballpark prices. They are subject to change based on the difficulty of the pic, as well as other factors such as additional avitars in the same picture.
Chibis: 7 to 10 K.
Bust: (Head to Shoulders): 8 to 10 K.
Full Body: 15 to 20 K.
I offer two easy payment plans for your commercial convenience. You can either...
a) Pay half up front and half upon completion and delivery.
or...
b) Offer the full amount in a trade, and confirm upon completion.
Also, to avoid people taking a slot and never giving it up, you will forfeit your slot if you go more than ten days without offering either of the aforementioned payment methods. I think that's all, so I'm done. Have fun, and enjoy the art~
