Here in this thread we sell art, in many different styles. We range from cartoony, to more anime, all the way to realism within Cat's artistic range! I'm only here in spirit honestly, just to keep the shop front looking great. Hope you visit both threads and check out all 30+ Services we offer! 1. Please no PM's! I like to keep things neat, so unless you've asked to PM me about something and I said yes, don't send any.
2. Keep your language legible. I'll deny your order if your writing bugs me enough, because I know I won't respect you enough to give you good art!
3. Please wait patiently for art! I'll finish it as fast as I can. Whether that takes an hour, or a week. I'll get to it, I promise.
4. Always give credit no matter how you use the art. All art should only be used on Gaia, unless permission is given by Cat Silver.
5. Please have enough gold for your order beforehand. I will not wait for 'payments' as I do not trust many people. I will not fill the order before I see the gold in the trade!
6. Don't ******** with my order forms. The [b] part is supposed to be there when you post it. Erase and Replace what comes after it. Not sure what goes where? There's hints in parentheses before you erase them.

Okay here's how it works. There's a base price for the size of picture you want. You start with that, and the rest of the posts show things which edit it. Kinda like a Subway sandwich, you start with a six inch, make it a cold cut trio, and add lettuce and olives and extra cheese. It all starts at the base price, and toppings don't cost extra, unless you want double meat or something!


Headshot - 100k - A shot from the collarbone up, including necklaces.
Bust - 200k - A shot from just below the breasts up.
Waist - 600k - A shot from the pants line up.
Knees - 700k - A shot from the knees up.
Couple - 1 mil - A shot from about waist up, of two interacting characters. Mood and posing may cause image to show slightly more or less.
Friends - 2 mil - A shot from about waist up, of three interacting characters. Mood and posing may cause image to show slightly more or less. Add another character for 600k.
SPECIAL!: Homestuck Godtier Mode - 50k - A drawing of your character in the Godtier mode of your choice. Fullbody, carrying a weapon. Only canon tiers please! It's in binary format only, just like the comic. No other options required for this selection. Example.

If you would like to partially/completely pay with items, or Monthly Collectibles, please use current market value -10%. You can mix and match as much as you like!

Want something special? Reference Sheets, Fullbody art, Comics and pretty much anything involving "drawing" are available, however the prices vary depending on what you want, and how badly I don't want to do them. Your best best is to try to ask me about them in the shop, and offer a super awesome bribe. If you do order something like this, any other slots unfilled will be instantly closed, and it will take some time to complete. These are very heavy workloads for me! I get exhausted creatively and physically!

Normal Style - Cat's usual style as seen to the left. Anime-like with thick or thin lines depending on level of detail. Tends to have expressive eyes.

User ImageCartoony - A less defined style. Rounder and larger eyes, with less detail, more tube-like limbs, this style is slowly ignoring what a body should look like. Cat is still practicing this.

Chibi - Super Deformed as seen to the right. Tiny body, large head. Some details may be ignored in this style. Specialty Prices: Only comes in headshot (25k), or fullbody (100k).

Sketchy - This selection does not come with a coloring style. It is instead a colored sketch, with lineart on top of it. Please select a color for the sketchy lines.

Binary - NEW! Done with the pencil tool, this picture has a more gritty sharp look to it. Like so.

Homestuck - NEW! This selection is done in Hero mode for the Homestuck art style. Half price any base model!

Experimental - This is a dangerous selection. Cat will draw however she damn well pleases. This may cause horrible mutations to occur to anatomy, or change the entire look of her art. This may not be the same type twice, and you get no selection in this. You might hate it, or love it, but it's just going to happen either way. This is basically a grab bag. Choose this, and ignore everything else. Cat likes this one.

Realism - Base x20 - Realistic painted style as seen on the left. This style take a lot out of Cat and thus is uber expensive comparatively. Only available as waist size or less. Overly complicated avatars will be denied. This selection does not come with a coloring style.

Smooth Shading - This shading is the one we're used to in digital art. The shading will be blurred slightly so that it slowly moves into other colors. It's very smooth looking. This style may vary between being burned and dodged, or shaded by hand.

Cel Shading - Anime styled cel shading. The shadows are clear cut differences, with no blurring of the edges.

Mixed Shading - Celshading and Smooth Shading come together. Celshading is used to detailed up close shadows caused by an identifiable item, while smooth shading is for general lightsource. It gives a more realistic look.

Monochrome - Coloring and shading only the tones of a single color. Please choose a color to go with this selection, and whether it will be cel, or soft shaded.

Flat colors - Simply flat colors, with no shading on top.

Sketchy Shading - Crosshatching and other texture styles in mostly black with the occasional grey to show shading.

Line Color - quarter of base - A lineart in which the lines themselves are colored. Any single color or gradient. If you do not choose colors, a selection will be chosen from your avatar.

Gradients - half of base - A simple complete fill of the lineart in any space that would have been colored, with a gradient applied. Choose up to 4 colors.

None - quarter of base - No coloring or shading, just plain lineart.

Standing; The pose will be standing, but elsewise I will attempt to make it up myself.
Sitting; The pose will be sitting, but elsewise I will attempt to make it up myself.
Random; No pose in mind? Is it a headshot and you can't think what to put? I'll do whatever, it may be odd, it may be insane, it may not fit your character, but if you choose a grab-bag thing, you're taking that risk. (Unless it's a headshot. Not much to go wrong here!)
Other; References! Detailed descriptions! Simple do this and you've made my day a lot easier, which makes you art get to you a lot quicker.



[Extras.]


- +50k per large items Extra items will be ignored. Extra items are any item that covers more than 1/4th of the background of your avatar, is literally a background type item like rain/sparkles, or is a second avatar sized character. This includes the Russian bears, Celebrity Dates, Sentries, Zombies, Horses, and more. If you would like them to appear, please add 50k to the total for each. Coco's and other small Plushies/Pets posed as a second character aren't counted.
- Free! If you would like the final picture to fit in your signature, please say so in this section or it will be too large for it and may cause you to lose your signature if you use it there! Without a note here, I will give it to you Full-sized.
- Free! If you would like both a siggy sized, and a full sized version. State so please.

OC art follows the same guidelines and ordering styles as Avatar Art does. Anything extra needed for it will be mentioned in the Order Form seen below. I prefer to have lots of references, or a detailed description so I can do -your- character -right-. You may get a lot of questions if you hang out in the thread and wait for your order. Especially for OC art! =D

All art will have one of my logos on it! They may be various colors, and will usually have an attempt to be hidden, or will not detract from the image. Do not remove this logo, or we will remove important bits of you, blacklist you, and report you for art theft.

I reserve the right to refuse trades, enjoy my tips, and deny various avatars for eligibility. Mostly when I'm having an art block, or find your Avatar too complicated. No worries, this hasn't happened yet.
The art will take some time, sometimes an hour, sometimes a few days, at worst a week or two. Whatever the time, please wait patiently. I will check in with Updates in the thread as time permits.
Right to an Edit: You have 1 day after the PM the art is sent in, to request small edits. Such as, eyes opened or closed, adding missing gloves, or items, or other faults in work. After 1 Day, I will not edit your art.
All avatar art will be used for samples. OC art will be used for samples, unless expressly denied by Commissioner. I will also post any Art I am particularly proud of on my Deviantart with copyright listed to the commissioner's Gaian name.

Okay, I do take bribes, but there are a few things you should know about this.

The bribe must be twice the size or more of the original price, and at least 800k in total (including current marketplace prices for items). Realism must be at least 2mil. The higher the bribe the better the quality and the better your chances of being accepted. The lower the bribe, the more likely it will not be accepted, I'm a greedy little s**t.

Honestly, if my shop is closed it's usually because my wrists are trying to explode, or because I have no time or will power to do art at the moment. You have to convince me to do art from a state of Do Not Want/In Pain. It's going to take some effort. So part of this bribe is paying for a slot, and the other part is paying for the actual art.

Here are some tips to get me to accept your art:
+ The bigger the bonus, the better your chances.
+ A simple nice looking avatar is probably going to get more love. Especially if it has a nice color scheme.
+ An awesome OC, filled with creativity and stuff.
+ Pose references! Especially photos. Try Frankenstein'ing 'these legs' with 'this torso' and 'this hand' if you can't find exactly what you want.
+ A good attitude, and friendliness. If you're nice to me, I'm more likely to return the favor
+ Patience. If you can wait longer than my usual time of a few hours, you've got a better chance.
+ Neat item combinations.

x3 Avatar Images are equal to 1 comic page with 3-6 panels.
x1 Fullbody is equal to 2 waist ups if you want to go that way.

For ALL of these: You may negotiate for different deals. For instance, any waist could be turned into a line art/line color couple, or the couple fullbodies, could be 5 fullbody chibis or something. Talk with me! I want the items, you want the art!

The font used for the banners for each section is called Corinthian and can be found on 1001freefonts.com.

I use Photoshop CS, and a Wacom tablet for all of my art. I don't use paper, pencil, or anything else to that effect.

Art trades will be accepted on a case by case basis. I'm rather picky, so don't be offended if I say no. Art trades can be requested when slots are closed, or be a part of a bribe. If you really strike a chord with me, you may get multiple pieces of art out of me in return.

The shop tends to be closed because of College, Wrist problems, idiots, lack of will power, being sleepy, being hungry, being uncaring, being too rich, being too pissy, and/or all of the above. I'm a bit odd about this though, I'll pressure through agonizing wrist pains, ignore homework, and pretend I don't have well over a million gold if I feel you guys are losing too heavily in the closed field.

I'm Cat Silver, I'm in my 20's and I've been on Gaia since December 19th 2003. I write a novel series known as Riot High, which I've gotten 3 books done on. Sooner or later, I'll probably get them published. Until then, I write the Homestuck fancomic PossessionStuck. It's a gory, bloody mess and horror-based. I also manage the upkeep of RPedia, which is a Roleplay Encyclopedia just like it says on the tin. It keeps a bunch of references for writers and roleplayers alike, in all manner of subjects. It even explains roleplaying at its most basic for those non-roleplayers! It's always adding more articles, check it out!

I'm also pretty laid-back, which is a nice way of saying lazy, and mean, which is a nice way of saying what I really am. I can be pretty unpredictably violent, or even snarky and an a**, but in the end people seem to grow fond of me like they would a particularly adorable serial killer. Go figure.
