Because that would actually be a health code violation.
Wearing the mask is a part of Standard Precautions
set by the CDC, required for every aspect of health care.

But Thank You for wearing a mask.
You will be one of the few who may survive a global epidemic.
Your hospital will be part of the cause for said global epidemic.

internationally accredited XD (the accrediting body is the one
that is accrediting hospital in the USA so yeah...we actually

Standard Precautions(ie wearing masks) extremely reduces
the instances of spreading pathogens(ie diseases).
There's no way to get around it. That may be their policies,
somehow. But it doesn't change the fact that they are
adding to the spread of disease. I literally just had a
3 hour seminar, JUST on how diseases spread.
The different ways...do you know how far

XD It's this almost inhuman expectation that doctors shouldn't get "sick"
Heck, just this morning, after my 24hour shift duty...my fellow doctor
had an arrhythmia right after we were endorsing our patients for the day
and he had to get admitted to the Cardiac Critical Care Unit. >>;
Good thing he had that episode in the hospital otherwise he could
have had a full blown heart attack and died if the arrhythmia wasn't caught in time. /le sigh

And I've had more than a 3 hour inservice too...a lot more.
The emphasis was that I had just had that particular one.
And I was never questioning your schooling or knowledge or experience,
I'm merely arguing against the hospital's practices...
which for some odd reason it almost seems like your arguing for.
Yet...not following. By your own admission.
I wasn't trying to argue with you in the first place,

They're ultra strict on the other staff like Nurses and Orderlies
and the like. However us "Doctors" seem to be treated like slaves almost. XD
So much work...and not enough rest but still expect us to manage patients as
if we're bright and sparkly every day. O__O

I'm merely stating something like a fact of the medical field in my country.

I.E. Normal Resident Doctor working hours are 36hour shift every 3 days,
with no holidays (this includes Christmas and the like) and for the first
year you can't even apply for leave. >>; Being absent also gets you extension
at the end of your training after 3 years. OTL

plus I've talked to everyone in this thread about it for a long long time XD
even when I started med-school many years ago.

That's a huge liability! Liability does cost money too.
Hospitals around here...would be sued and/or shut down.
People lose licenses over that sort of thing around here.

Doing like internship or nursing or something.
I had no clue you were a full practicing physician.
I really don't read those "about me" things.
I don't know the "about me" of people I normally meet...
So, I tend to just skip to learning the old fashioned way.
