Hana No Chi
Okay, besides the one in my siggie, this one:
*img*
I'm not done with it yet though, It's a 3/4 Wip. >w>;
And I'm suppose to be doing my homework, bleek. It's the start of seventh grade, and I've already started to procrastinate. >.<;
for the new piece in your message:
this one's good! i really like the perspective and face...you could work on cleaning up your line art though...because that would greatly improve the quallity of the piece overall...also, with shading, make sure you know where the light sorce(s) is(are) coming from...you've got some inconsistancy in the hand and face....and with the hair, you have to keep in mind that she is wearing a headband, and it isn't perfectly flat as though it were a stone with something sitting on top of it but casting no shadow...so you have to shade it and make it look more flexible...overall the idea and overall look is good...you just have to work on some of the finer details...
for your sig:
no offence...but i'm not as big as a fan of this one as your current piece...unlike with your other one, it doesn't really have a skull/head structure...she almost looks like a barbie doll who has an akwardly placed face...she could use a bid more of a jaw and her eyes are a little too far apart for the "canvas" allowed for her face...as far as her neck is concerned, it's too thin and too far back from her chin...(i do this too sometimes...) you can sometimes get away with it if you have hair covering it, or you're trying to make it look like they're stretching thier neck...but for this peice you can deffinatly tell because of the way her head is angled/the position of the body...because of it, it looks like her head isn't apart of her body...but was just put on top...also, the inside of her neck goes down too far into the body...(think of where the collar bone is, and that's where you should try to stop the line for the neck there...) the body is pretty good...i'd only adjust the arm that's closer to the viewer because it looks really thin...
i'm sorry i was so rough on the second one...but i hope that i was helpfull...
sweatdrop
tip: what i do, is i first draw the figure naked (more like they're in spandex because there's no detail) and hairless then i add everything on top because you have to keep the body in mind...if you don't have a tablet like i do...you could try working with the pen tool (if you're using photoshop) or just go back over your lines with the erasor to clean them up before coloring...especially since it looks like you are aiming for the hard anime look...overall, it's better than what i could do when i was in 7th grade, so just keep it up and you'll deffinately improve with time and practice! ^_^ if you ever want me to look at a piece and give you my oppinion feel free...also, if you have any questions never hesitate to ask!
xd
*sorry this is soooo long!!!
sweatdrop hope i wasn't too harsh and scared you off!!!*
