In my case it's not traditional but halloween gains addicts every year (mostly childrens and young people xD) our traditional festivity celebrates on november 1st and it's calling "dia de todos los santos" (all saints day? xD) rolleyes

Senyou: that's cool though...what do you do for dia de todos los santos? is it simular to holloween or way different? and i know it's mexican, so i could be wrong, but i think that nov. 1st is their "dia de los muertes" (?)

hollidays and countries traditions are kinda interesting...especially when you look back to see what the history of those traditions are...lol...

and on a side note, TODAY IS ELECTION DAY IN AMERICA!!! THE STUPID CAMPAIGNING IS FINALLY OVER!!! (so those of you who are eligable to do so, should vote! >_< )

No it's different from halloween, very different on that day people go to the graveyard for visit her dead parents and friends, basically it's a day of reflection,melancholy and respect,but well it's has a sweet part too..because you can buy on cake shops a typical dessert calling "huesitos de santo" made of marzipan and yolk.

Yeah elections! OO here are specials TV programs to xDD In my opinion I prefer Obama biggrin Indeed most people from here choose him, anyways I don't know who's the winner yet...

I voted absentee, (meaning i voted early, then sent it in via mail...in case you didn't know...) and i was pulling for Obama as well as several others in my age group in America...Obama won the popular vote by a landslide, so there's a strong possibillity that he will be president...if McCain wins, i'm gonna try to get out of the country as soon as possible because that can't be a good sign...(too much corruption in government if that happens...)

i don't know how much you know about our election process...but basically there's a popular vote, where the populace votes for who they think should win for presidency as well as other local possitions and decide on local issues. after that each state is "won" by the majority of votes for a particular candidate, and depending on the size/population of the state, it has a certain number of "electoral votes." both sides tally up how many electoral votes they have and i believe they get to appoint who votes for those numbers...(because they are democratic or republican they are likely to vote the way they're appointed...which wasn't the case in 2004... stare ) whoever wins the majority of the electoral votes wins the presidency...so i'm thinking Obama's going to win due to the number of chairs he won, and the fact that several republicans are even saying that Obama should win instead of McCain... ^_^

hey guys...sorry for not at least posting lately...i haven't been around gaia in a while...(even my devart page needs to be updated...lol...) anyway, i'm going to possibly be commissioned to design things to go on T-shirts! i'm going to check to make sure that this guy is legit and such, but if it goes though, i'm going to be really psyched!!! ^_^

lately i've been working on a lot of gifts for the hollidays, such as a pair of walrus shoes...lol...but i've started to look at some of the commissions that are still waiting for me and i'll try to finish those up... >_< again, sorry and thank you so so so so much for being patient!!! >_< i am still capable of the stuff that's in the "gallery" but my style has evolved a little...so if things aren't how you were wanting/expecting it to be, let me know and i'll try to fix it...i'll be updating my devart site as soon as i get a few pieces actually completed...(it's starting to become a task to actually complete a piece...*sigh*...starting something new is so much easier! ^_~)

so i hope that you guys are having a good time...i have the rest of today through sunday off due to THANKSGIVING!!! (horray for food!!! >_< we haven't had any real food in the appartment for a long time...*sob*) so i may be around-ish...^_^

lol...i might need you to do that at some point...though i'm sure i've got it around somewhere...(probably in my sketchbook or some papers...actually, i might know where it is...once i get back to my appartment on sunday, i'll take a look for it and if i can't find it i'll let you know...^_^ )

i'm pretty much lazy about everything...it's why i have a hard time actually finishing pieces...(if you haven't noticed, my line art is often shotty, and i tend to not have a background...lol...) plus i'm a horrible procrastinator, so it only makes things worse... >_< (especially when there isn't necessarilly a deadline...)

and i got back to my appartment last night, but things were a little crazy so i haven't looked for your address yet...so i'll do that once i get back from class...

Kimmi: hi Kimmi!!! ^_^ how are you? you enjoying your summer? (it's winter here...and the high is 37 F (about 3.5 C) with some snow today...)

also, over our holliday break, i got to see the movie "Australia"...if you get a chance to watch it, i'd like to know what your opinion of it was...^_^ i thought it was good though...

General group (it's just me ranting about life...lol): ok...so i feel really dumb now...yesterday, i got packed up and ready to come back to my appartment. i even made a quick check throughout the house to make sure i didn't miss anything...(i even brought back stuff that was completely unneccessary... -_-) so i drove back, and luckly i have my car for this month, but right when i entered my room, i noticed that i didn't have my covers or one of my pillows...this is the SECOND time i've done this this year...it's so frustrating!!! ;_; i got back at around 2:00 and called my parents. my dad decided to meet with me to drop off my covers and some food stuffs from thanksgiving at around 3:30...(i was late due to traffic...) coming back was easier than going though, i so i got back at around 4:00 and had about an hour to get myself something to eat and relax a little before i had to run out to catch a bus to a philosophy review session my teacher was holding...(he's going to be highly medicated after today, so he was holding the review session yesterday...)

so i finally got home and i didn't want to do anything so i ended up watching the tail end of Lord of the Rings then went to bed...lol...
