Drawings from the starving artist!!! [NEW UPDATE!!!]

oh yeah...i'm thinking that after i've gotten things done, that i might host an official OC competition instead of an art competition (depending on how much gold i have, etc...)...the grand prize would be an illustration of the winners OC, then i would do a waist up for 2nd, and 3rd would be a headshot...(and maybe some gold or something added to the prizes...i'm not too sure...) again, this WILL NOT happen for a long, long while, but do you think that people would enter at all? and are these prizes enough? or should i be offering something else? if you have any suggestions, that would be great! >_<

well, it's either that, or i do a multi-media competition for 3 of my characters. Iris, Alexandre, and Eric...they're from a story i'm writing (and need to work on.) but it might be interesting to see how other people interpret them...i probably won't have enough money to do that...*sob* but what i mean by "multi-media" is it would be anything from a written scene you could see the characters in, to drawings, or fashion design, etc. then i would give prizes for each category. so if you were entering, you could write a scene, then draw an illustration of it...(if you had them wearing inovative outfits for the characters, then i would probably count it under "fashion design" too...) really, anything would be ok, the more creative the better...

but, again, i think it will need a lot of "mula" to convince people to enter into something like that... =_=

Thats how i met Rje actually and some of my other friends and they can be heaps of fun :3

But you wouldn't need that much gold to go towards a contest. Its all how much you want to put towards it.
The majority i have had have been between 500-800k except for the huge one im having now :3

both of the contest sounds good to me, but I personally think that the multimedia is nicer :3... unfortunately I won't participate on anyone because my drawing skills are awful (well I don't have xD) and my writing skills...do you want something writing on my main language or another? xDD razz I don't have enough level for doing something on english sweatdrop but I offer my bumping services free xD and I can put your banner on my sig :3 and maybe I can donate a little for the prizes too smile

Kimmi: well, the OC contest i proably wouldn't need much gold because i'm doing drawings for the characters, but the multi-media one i would just because i need to get prizes for each category...(image (most creative, and the different media you can use for creating an image), story, fashion design, and anything else if i can think of it...) and it's hard for me to make even 500k and takes a lot of time...(i don't pay money for gaia because i'm broke in real life, and i'm not that active besides on certain threads...) but after all of my commissions are done, i should have about 242k and maybe 842k-900k if i sell the letter from the auction...(i'm tempted to keep it though... -_- )

Senyou: i'd deffinately appreciate your bumping and any advertisment/help you could give! >_< but you could also participate...for the OC contest, all you need is to give me a clear idea of what your character looks like, the setting they are in, and what kind of personality they have...(i'll demand a refferance, but that could be anything from a detailed drawing someone had done for you, to a simple paint image showing me where some of the major details are etc. it's not based on art)

and for the multi-media you could take photos or just do a fashion design, or anything really...^_^ (i'm trying to make it so that anyone can participate regardless of thier strenghts...) and if you wanted to write something in spanish, i could try to have it translated or something...but i'm not concerned about the writing style so much as the idea (and making sure that you understood the characters)...the grand prizes for either competition would go to someone who had a really interesting/creative idea....

So I can usually make a fair amount of gold regularly and i wouldnt mind helping :3

...i've been working on my auction pieces...and they're progressing...ish...

anyways, i thought i'd let people know that i am probably not going to be around much this month...i'm leaving to San Francisco on the 3rd and won't be back until the 18th...so if i don't respond promptly between that time, i appologize...but i'm actually having a vacation!!! >_< though i'll be back the 18th, i need to pack my room and get ready to move into my appartment by the 21st, so you probably won't be seeing any art from me for a while...but i may be able to stop in and answer messages every now and again...^_^
