Okay, update on Em's Coat commission:






Keep in mind, the collar and other sleeve aren't attached yet.

Also i still need cording for the outer trim, and so i need to wait for that to do both levels of cording and the buttons/buttonholes

So in the meantime I'm going to finish the cord cording on the other sleeve because that's all the other sleeve needs before it can be attached, and then I need to finish the thorn dragon so i can finish the lining pieces.

Aside from the setback with the cord, it's coming along well.

So, I'm going to work on getting the back and side lining done today, because those are both huge chunks that'll set it another 20% towards done. Then i'll be able to attach that sleeve there...

And I'd like to get the collar cut and stitched soon...

Oooh, lucky. It's not that easy to find fabric like that back home (I don't know about here though. xD) Back home, probably the only place you could find it is S&H, but even though they have this huge selection of inexpensive fabric, finding it would be a nightmare, since there's no system of organization. I got this really nice black brocade there once though, that I still need to make into something, despite my lack of sewing skills. xD

I just went to the Fabricland here looking for the cord I need to finish off this coat, and they didn't have it. So, I instead went and bought a crapload of fabric from the discount rack, and because of allt he discounts, i got about 12 metres of fabric for only 100$ ^^
