@Auryn - baby powder and vanilla... thanks for suggesting it! I'll try it! I bet the dominance thing has something to do with territory... they're always fighting over the houses and perches. >.<
Yeah... that's probably it... they seem to get bored and sad without companions. >.< My chinchilla broke his leg for a while, and that was the one time that he would let us hold him. Reincorporating him was a bit of a problem... but maybe it's different for all chinchillas. we incorporated him through playtime and daylight hours... but also he has a calm personality, he doesn't make enemies, but he also knows how to rise to the top... sooooo...
Ha! Vitamin C... our chinchillas favorites vary... recently they've been very content eating all natural apple chips. XD I have a feeling I shouldn't be giving them so many treats... but... but... >.<
the same applies to biting... my chinchilla used to be a real chomper, but he hasn't bitten anyone in a long time. On the other hand, the chinchilla who bites now (eclipse) used to let us rub his stomach through the cage bars and stuff... he would lean back and close his eyes, it was so ctue. ^^
NO! NO! DON'T SHUT UP! CHINCHILLA ANECDOTES ARE GREAT!!!
Do you ever have problems with them escaping? ninja
