I remember 'back in the day' when you could buy a donation letter for 4k, and even after it opened it wouldn't really change price until after the month really.

Now they're 11k starting for a new one unopened for the month.

Wtf. The items haven't even been announced yet @__@

How does that WORK anyways, there's like 4 million users now, why the heck did it go up in price? So many people get them. It's not like the new gold system gives you THAT MUCH more gold D:

It happened because of the powers that be. Apparently, they got wise to the fact that the MP/Exchange fluxuates specifically by what they create as Donation items. Then they just made sure they put atleast one decent donation item per letter for almost a year straight now, and voila. Instant market inflation, just add water. The letters became more valueable because more people wanted them. More people continually paid more and more money for them, which caused other,older items to go up as a reactionary, which continued to spur up the letter prices as gold became more and more 'worthless'.
