Hello there and welcome to my shop, Aortic Inkwell!

I'm offering pieces of art done entirely in ink, since crosshatching is my specialty! If you see what you like, please don't hesitate to post your order form so we can get down to business!

Works done in such detail do take a bit of time to complete because of the complexity of hatching, so i will be opening a few slots at a time. I will update the Shop when orders are complete and a new spot opens up.

So yeah, it's been a long and frustrating end of 2009 and start of 2010 for me. And i do apologize greatly for the lateness of the art here, but real paying commissions had to come first unfortunately. Not long after i started working on a piece (that was later canceled mind you) my cat became ill and had to take her to the vet, which turned out to be a case of urinary tract infection. All my money i had saved had been sunk into treating her, thank god she's okay now, but i had to put cash paying clients first so i had enough not to be kicked out for not paying rent. >_<"
Then i was published for the first time which was awesome. O_O So i had more work to do for the writers.
I then found out that my uncle has cancer so i've just not felt like doing much of anything...
I'm sorry again for those who've waited, i thought i was going to have a good track record here especially with the past commissions i did in great timing. But life has a way of kicking you when you're down, which a lot of you can relate i'm sure. ;w;"
Please enjoy the art though because i did put the time and effort into them. i can understand if some on the queue want to withdraw their request, i don't blame them. But right now i have time to finish whats left on the queue and i'm taking the rest with me when i leave the country next month to visit a friend to finish.
Also, after the queue is finished, i might just close the shop for a while until offline stuff is straightened out. People can feel free to post still if you want.

Sep 19 2009: More are done! Here are the previews! The 300dpi scans will be sent out to the commissioners soon. :3

Sep 12th 2009: The first of the commissions is done, more have been inked and will be posted soon!
Sep 5th 2009: Sketches will be posted soon for the first three slots so everyone gets a feel for the way i tend to plan things out. :3 Also, there will be changes to the prices since the current ones were introductory for my grand opening! Don't worry, i don't plan on killing everyone's accounts. XD

3. Animals. I will do anthros, but the more humanoid kind.

Things i will not do:
1. I am known to draw some pretty mature art, but i will NOT accept them as requests on Gaia, mature works can be commissioned through my DeviantArt account here at Serrifth's DA
2. Complicated backgrounds are a no-no for me at the moment. I spend a lot of time crosshatching a lot of pieces and big glorious landscapes and whatever take too much time.
3. I'm not a big fan of mecha, so i will not be drawing your GUNDAM/MACROSS things. (Though i love Macross a LOT)
