Boeing's 787 continues to be delayed... but airlines may actually be happy about it... since they don't necessarily have the money to pay for the planes now (up to $150 apiece), and delay often means compensation and discounts.

A piece of in-flight menu. A piece of plane. Lol, at first it's just a mistake, it's supposed to be $150MILLION a plane... but I thought.. hmm... let's leave it that way and see if Bai will notice.

The Avant-Garde racquet is definitely going to be joined together by this Sunday, whether it's ready or not. If it has one wing by then, it'll have to fly with one wing.

Then the string-pylons will go in by weekdays (hopefully having enough materials left).

And paintjob goes on next weekend....

And next next Wednesday, if I'm not wrong... OFF I go on a plane!!!

You know it's not good to hurry too fast

It's not good to take too long either... the process is soooo painstakingly manual, and the carbon is so hard the filing tools are wearing down too..... I don't think it's gonna be a top-quality product anyway without investing months more.... so might as well finish it on time....

If ever, EVER I'm gonna do it again I'd definitely go digital and machine tools next time.....

Don't complain though if there are any defects in the resulting product because your hurry *_*

Things take time, specially manual ones...

I think it's basically ok, just filing more and more.... cosmetic purposes... there's some minor points to worry about, but quite minor...

The idea of a craftsman slowly filing down on a wooden clock... a swordsmith polishing his katana under the sakura tree.... those are more Romantic than it really is..... the real deal is only fun for maybe the first 30min, after which you realize carbon fiber is hell to sand and file.... especially when you either have to work with the thing under the water tap, or outside under the sun... (or die from carbon inhalation).

Ok...
