RULES
sooo... basically if you know me, you know that i'm very strict about my rules. if you have not read these rules, you may be completely ignored. i reserve the right to deny anyone acceptance as a commissioned artist for whatever reason. as a 'compromise' i will do my best to explain, in as much detail as i can, of why i am denying someone. but... the biggest reason will be not following rules. anyways... here's the break down. i know its long, but bare with me...
- Follow Gaia's TOS
- advertising of other threads in this thread MUST be approved by me first.
- BE NICE!!! i'm offering my hard earned real money. if you're not up to the standard i'm looking for and i deny you, do not complain. at the same time, i understand that people have life outside of Gaia and things come up, so i am pretty reasonable, i think.
- respect the fact that i am using my hard earned money for this. yes, i am pretty reasonable when it comes to deadlines, but if you arent going to be able to start this for more than two weeks, please let me know right away. if you really really want to do the art, we might be able to work something out when you're available, but i would like to get people started on this stuff quickly.
- all artists must fill out the application completely and all art work sampled MUST be their own work.
- no spamming. if i catch someone spamming, they will be black listed immediately. ((for those from KARG, the spam rules arent quite the same here as they are in KARG. lol)) Spam in this thread is pretty much page stretching, unwanted advertising, begging, rudeness.... etc. if you have any questions about spam or any of the rules for that matter, please feel free to PM me. i am more than willing to answer any and all questions.
- when drawing the avatar, if possible, i would love all the items in the picture, but if you have a really hard time with something specific or just dislike the item, please talk to me about it. dont just leave it out or anything like that. i'm incredibly flexible when it comes to stuff like that, so never feel like you cant ask something. there is such a thing as stupid questions, but, i answer those ones too. lol
- bumpers may or maynot get a little prize. i havent decided, but if you're interested, let me know. i might work out something. maybe a MC or something for the top bumper. BUT!!!! if you are going to bump, be sure to follow any bumping rules for the forums. if i catch anyone breaking these rules, they will be kicked out of the thread, as that would be a violation of sorts of the TOS.
- to let me know that you've read everything in these four posts, add a domo somewhere into your first post.
- i reserve the right to deny any and all participants when applying. if you have been accepted as an artist you will be notified by PM as well as it will be posted here. we will figure out how you will take your payment which we will talk about here or if you dont have a DA account, PM me with your email address and we will talk about it. you will not receive payment until the completion of the art, but like i said, if you are an accepted artist, it's like a contract. to protect you, i will accept watermarked or thumbnail previews ((no smaller than 150x150)) as proof of completion and once you have received your payment, you may send me the full copy. if you choose items as payment i will purchase them, and then send you a trade, which you will accept and i will finalize upon receiving proof of completion or upon receiving the art. if you have any questions about this, please PM me.
- the rules are subject to change without notice. its your job to make sure you're up to date with the current rules.
i think that's all for right now. but i'm sure i will think of more. i would suggest checking the rules whenever possible. new rules will most likely be a different colour, so that it's easy to spot changes. also, rules that no longer apply for whatever reason, will be struck out like this and will be smaller font, but will remain on the page for referance. anyways, i hope you guys like this request, because i know i'm rather excited about it.
