Hi, there. Welcome to the first (to my knowledge) Furry Art Shop on Gaia. Just a regular Fur with a lot of talent and a want for more than the 1k guaranteed to us everyday. sweatdrop

9-24-08: *Takes another deep breath*... HAI!!!!!... ... Did you miss me? I know I did.

Over the past week or so, I had let things get to me. But I guess you can't fight destiny. Even if that destiny is drawing at the wee hours of the morning and eating 'energy chews'.

I can't guarantee that it'll never happen again... but I can say that I will always come back. Mostly because drawing is about the only thing I do right anymore... lol

EDIT#1: I changed my Banner prices in the Prices section. This is important, considering that there are many types of banners... and that I never did mock-up precise examples of each priced item... sweatdrop ((I think that should be my next project when I finish this round of orders.))

I'm having trouble picking a cartooning college, tho. I want the degree so bad, I can taste it. They all, in some subtle way, say that i could do it on my own, but... I want it to be official that art is what i do for a living... or what I want to do anyway...

8-28-08: Okay, listen up. Apparently, there's a life outside my room. (I know. I was shocked as well.) In this, it means that I have to limit how much I'm on here. But I've finished whole pages of comic in about a day, AND I believe that I can do it... just so long as i stop thinking about the pressure... sweatdrop

I like anime, comics, and good art. Pokemon and videogames are close seconds. Science, BBC America, National Geographic, PBS, Pixar, Dreamworks Animation, SEGA, Batman (In MOST incarnations *COUGHTheBatmanCOUGH*), Spider-Man (I haven't seen a truely 'bad' incarnation yet)... Basically, If I had few-to-no complaints about something, I probably like it. All of the above, I am fanatical about.

I... find that the word 'hate' doesn't begin to cover my dislike for the things I'm about to
name... People so full of themselves they put off a natural aura of 'f*ck you', people so creepy they don't know how creepy they are, bad spin-offs or remakes, people who can't make up their minds (Buyer beware on that one), and essentially anyone or thing that sets off my Kitty Senses.... (what? They're like Spidey-Senses, but non-copyrighted.)

What I will draw

- Furries (My specialty, really. If it's part-animal, I can draw it. :3)

- Original Characters/ OC's (Because I know how hard it can be to illustrate your characters.)

- Ferals (Furrys that still look like animals, but otherwise bear a sentient personality. I'm a little rusty, but I think I can pull it off. wink )

- Humans (I figured it needed to be said. I can draw them, but not to my own liking. Other people like them, tho. There should be some in the examples or on my sites. ^_^)

- Anything else, ask. Honestly, I might just be one of the the least difficult artists you've ever
dealt with. ;P

What I won't draw

I do have my limits. Specifically, I WILL NOT draw:

- Overloaded Avis/Overly-Complex OC's (No one likes an Avi where you can't see the damned person. On that same coin, unless there is an IMPORTANT reason that your character has an intricate and painstaking tattoo or set of clothes on them, Buyer Beware: I'm prone to simplifying it.)

- Yiff/Pr0n of any kind (One: Read the Gaia ToS. Two: I've never drawn yiff. Not seriously, anyhow. So even if you track me down on some other site, you better be sure you want to be a ginuea pig.)

- Inflation, Rubber suit, Heavy SMBD, Vore, Muscle/Hyper (Kind of bundled here, because one can draw these things without infering sex. If you don't know, don't ask... you might not want to know...)(NOTE: If your Avi or OC is all smexy-leathery, or is otherwise boarderline, I can work with you... have your haggle-hat on.)

- ... ... ... Aw, muffins. Well, I'll think of something else, just you wait...

Okay, this is how this ro-day-o runs...

1. Fill out a form (below), and post it here. (I will accept no forms through PM. If you want it to be some sort of surprise or you just don't want to share, please order and mention that you want to discuss it through PM.)

2. If I have any questions about the order, you wanted to talk further, or if i found you 'schuddled' the math, I'll do that next. (Don't worry; I do this through PM's.)

( wahmbulance PLEASE don't have your PMs on 'Friends only' for this... it's the other way I keep track of transactions... wahmbulance )

3. I send you an empty trade and I also start on the order... if everything is in order. ^_^ (The trade name should be something like "M.F. Art Shop - Order # - XXXg". You DO NOT have to answer it right away, just tells you that I owe you an art order.)

4. After I send you some sketches and you like'em, you send the money. Don't worry, I'm not going to welsh ya'; I'm too honest for that.

5. Once I finish the piece, we finish the trade, and I PM you your piccy and ask you if I can use it for my "Finished" post. Simple, huh?

Prices!

Prices are a little tricky, but I think you can figure it out if I just explain. Depending on what you want, you take what you want in an end result and total it together. So if you want a Trad' Colored Headshot, with a BG, that's...
600g + 1000g + 400g = 2000g for the pic. I think that's pretty reasonable. 3nodding

Pencil Sketch = +400

Traditional Lineart = +500

Traditional Color (Colored Pencils, mostly) = +600

Digital sketch = +500

Digital lineart = +800

Digital Coloring = +700

Distance (Avi and OC portraits only)

My style is one-part Old-School Anime (AstroBoy, Cyborg 009, Kikaider), one-part Old-school Western Cartoons and Comics (Thundercats, He-Man, TMNT (80's)), and scrapings of whatever I've seen and liked. (I like the eyes from Pokemon, but the bodies are drawn awkwardly... The outfits from Giant Robo and Steam Detectives are cool... Don Bluth and Disney films taught me how to draw hands better... Every so often, Sonic-style eyes will invade my style... @_@... ... Little things like that.)

Q2: How long do you usually take on an order?

A2: "As long as it takes. Honestly, Pencils and inks take one-day's sit-down, Coloring takes another. Add one if you asked for digital. Plus the fact that I'm only working on these one day a week, maybe more. You're looking at anywhere from a day to 3 weeks. I try not to make promises. And belly-aching makes me draw slower... guaranteed."
