I pay very well for art, and will tip handsomely for quick delivery. Don't be afraid to ask for a fair price. I am also an artist and understand that good work costs gold.

What I'm Looking For

• Very high-quality art. I'd rather pay x amount of gold for a really well-done sketch
  of a face than a mediocre full-color full-body piece.
  
• Attention to character detail--no "same face" syndrome.
  
• Unique art styles. If you break the mold--if your style is unique--then I want to see it.
  I value style over realism and panache will get you far. Some of the best art I've ever
  gotten was from artists considered "unorthodox." I especially love stylish, minimal art.
  If you can kick a** with lineless silhouettes and smooth strokes, please, let me know.
  I will pay handsomely.
  
• Really fabulous pixel sprites, especially animated.
  
• Artistic liberty. You won't see me dictating exact costumes or anything like that
  here--if the spirit moves you to do something, do it. Inject symbolism, fiddle with the
  clothing details, add something that you feel suits the character, depict an imaginary
  scene, whatever--I trust you. I want you to draw my characters the way that I can't,
  or wouldn't think to.
  

What I'm NOT Looking For

• Chibis, except for Hunter/Queen, Fionnghal, and maybe Sawyer.
  That said, I will break this rule if your "chibi" is a stylish, unique piece and not a
  big-eyed animu thing. I like big-eyed animu things, just not for all my characters.
  If you aren't sure, try me--you never know.
  
• Art just because it's "cheap."
  
• RLCs. I would if I could but I am just way too broke, I'm sorry. This means ALL RLC's,
  even if yours are very affordable.
  
• Art trades unless otherwise noted. I break this sometimes, but I need to focus on my
  money-making art first sad sad sad My resolve is weak, though...
  
• Porn or cheesecake, except maybe of Hunter and the Queen. But not Hunter alone. I
  know, it's weird.
  
• Unasked-for pairings. It's weird that I even have to say this but people have offered
  to draw me things that were completely OOC and in one memorable case went ahead
  and did so, leaving me in an odd spot and feeling like I ought to be grateful when I
  wasn't. I'm not a "crack pairing" type of person!

Please forgive me if I don't reply to your post. I have a really hard time outright rejecting people, and might find myself unable to do it. Please forgive me. It's in no way a reflection on your abilities--I am stylistically really picky, and sometimes a style I'm not personally a fan of, even when it's exceptionally well-done, won't win me over. sad

Obadiah Thompson
aka Taym

age early 30's, but hard-worn; modern!Taym is 25ish but also rough
eyes dark brown, with a heavy close-set brow, long dark eyelashes, sunken eye sockets, and heavy dark circles that make the entire area shadowed and tired-looking
hair dark brown, wavy-to-curly, and kept in any number of various Regency-era styles, inclined towards the classic "oh Mr. Darcy", just less-kempt and less-curly/full. His hairline is not straight--it recedes along the temples and comes to a broad widow's peak. Or for modern Taym: similar hairstyle, but less dated; can also be slicked back. Hair is usually drawn shorter, but doesn't have to be.
facial hair always, always a five o'clock shadow and stubble down to his neck; also various Regency-era sideburns including the Mr. Rochester "skinny muttonchop", although you can draw him clean-shaven on the sides as well. He changes this up pretty regularly, go nuts. Or for modern Taym: stubble and five o'clock shadow remain, but less pronounced sideburns.
body type skinny, and not an attractive swimmer's body either: bony, hunched, and leathery, with a ribcage visible through his chest, a ropey neck, and the knobs of his vertebrae visible through his shirts when he sheds his coat and waistcoat. These pictures may a bit alarming to those of a sensitive disposition or anyone who doesn't like seeing Christian Bale as a wasted insomniac. If you don't want to draw this body type, his coats are quite structured and designed to conceal his body, so draw him fully-clothed and avoid it!
clothes Regency-era. Here's some refs. Anything from shirtless up to shirt-and-waistcoat up to full garb with scarves and coat; he has money, but doesn't keep himself well and won't wear anything too ornate or dandy-ish, sticking to subdued colors. He rarely ties his cravat properly and nine times out of ten his waistcoat is unbuttoned too. The setting is AU and fantasy, so some liberties can be taken, especially with pants because I know Regency pants are pretty ugly so if you don't want to draw them I sympathize. Always, always flat knee-high boots--never stockings-and-shoes. They're usually brown or black with brown cuffs at the top. Or for modern Taym: plain v-neck T-shirts (or "freebie" T-shirts like insurance companies and blood donation shirts, etc.) layered under open-fronted button-downs with sleeves long enough to cover his forearms (he has a tattoo he's embarrassed about); dark jeans and motorcycle boots. He also has a coat and scarf that comprise his "working" clothes in addition to the above, and an antler-hilted dirk you can include if the spirit moves you. The design on the bottom is a pair of crossed scythes and is on both sides. Modern Taym also has a plain, unadorned steel ring he wears at all times around one index finger, unless his knife is visible. If his knife is in the picture, the ring is nowhere to be seen.

expressions and mannerisms

• nearly always smoking, but no brown-and-white modern cigarettes in his Regency incarnation: hand-rolled affairs like a joint, or skinny brown cigars. For modern!Taym, normal cigs are fine
  
• has deep lines at the corners of his eyes and between his eyebrows, as well as in his forehead and the corners of his mouth; sunken deep cheekbones and his ears stick out just a bit too far to be strictly attractive (not that he has to worry about that, the rest of him being as gross as it is).
  
• introspective scowls, wolfish predatory grins, and lopsided smiles, the latter being pretty uncommon

• Draw him with Maple, a deer with whom he shares a magical bond. She's roughly the size of a smallish horse--much bigger than a normal deer; big enough to ride. She sometimes has a sage-green ribbon tied to one ear.
  
• Draw him with a cat or cats. He has lots, and loves kittens, and is shamelessly affectionate with them--draw whatever sort of cat you want, but he also has a huge Grimalkin (much bigger than a normal cat) named Whisky.
  
• Alternately, draw him with dogs: especially sighthound and pit bull-type dogs.
  
• Drinking laudanum, or even just holding a glass tumbler of faintly brown-tinted water.
  
• With pigeons or a small white bird, especially if he appears to be talking to them.
  
• Naked above the waist, covered in mud, with flowers in his hair. Don't ask. If by chance this somehow leads to you drawing his back, ask me about his scars. They're the only big ones he has.

Sawyer Madison
aka Fix

age 19
eyes light grey, watery, and too big for his face.
hair black and hugely fluffy, kept in a shaggy and haphazard style something like this, although it's shorter in the back
facial hair absolutely none. He is one of those guys that can't grow a beard and can barely manage sideburns. On the plus side, that means he avoided the creepy teenage mustache. On the negatives, it means he always looks younger than he is.
body type quite thin, but almost entirely without muscle. He has the soft contours of baby fat, and is short and compactly-built.
clothes oh lord, where to begin? Sawyer likes to powerclash. There's an album of the sort of thing he likes to wear here, with an emphasis on mixing patterns and colors and bold experimentation. There are several things to note, however:

one: Sawyer wears everything. It is his hobby to play "costume" and dress up like someone he isn't, whether that's a Hot Topic goth or a homeless kid (one of his favourites; panhandling can be quite lucrative) or a Guido or... whatever, really. So you can honestly put him in any male clothes and he'll look like himself. Another of his favourites is WASP: salmon colored shorts, an oxford button down, a white v-neck, and boat shoes. He thinks it makes people not notice him.
two: Sawyer loves shoes. They are perhaps his driving passion. When he isn't in "costume" he exclusively wears All Stars, of which he has a vast collection of a couple dozen pairs. He likes to wear a different one on each foot, and he is obsessed with various fancy lacing techniques, being especially fond of sleek, hidden-knot horizontal lacing like so.
three: Sawyer has a uniform. There's a ref for it here. Those are shoelaces he's holding, and the inclusion of them is optional!
four: Sawyer is legitimately stylish. Although you wouldn't know it from what he normally wears, he does in fact have a keen eye for clothes. Although he thrifts most of what he wears, he won't buy anything (except "costume" clothes) that doesn't fit perfectly, and he'll even get something tailored if he likes it enough. That said, "perfectly" to Sawyer is subjective: he will buy a too-short coat or a too-long-sleeved shirt if he likes the silhouette. He normally dresses for attention, but when the situation demands he can look astonishingly nice. He knows the secret rules of pocket squares and pant lengths; he speaks the language of seams and pocket placement and buttons. So if you want to draw him rocking a fashionable modern dandy ensemble, go nuts.

expressions and mannerisms

• he has huge heavy dark eyebrows--his most noticeable feature--as well as a light smattering of freckles, a tendency to being red-cheeked and red-nosed.
  
• smokes--both cigarette and pot. Not as constantly as Taym, though, so it's not an almost-required feature.
  
• chews his nails and has an oral fixation that leads him to gnawing on the ends of his scarves, his sleeves, his collars... hands are often in his face.
  
• incredibly cheery and outgoing, so big grins and happy smiles are a usual, but prone to introspection and gloominess in short fits, so feel free to indulge that side of him if it appeals more.

Hunter (and the Queen)
aka the deergirls

age ?
eyes a brilliant teal, with long dark eyelashes. Narrow and slightly slanted.
hair Pale blonde, choppy, full, and kept relatively short, although it used to be longer and kept in two long front-hanging ponytails (the Fay Cervidae hair) so you can draw that if you prefer to draw longer hair. Side-swept bangs. Sometimes covered in beautiful silk hoods.
body type boyish and hard-muscled. A good adjective for her generally is "boxy," and she lacks much in the way of an hourglass shape, falling somewhat straight from her ribs to her hips. She is short and compact, powerfully-built, but not by any means large. Her breasts are small--please don't give her big jugs! Her legs are deer legs, pale tan and spotted with cream. She also has thin brown antlers that are sometimes painted in teal stripes.
clothes you know those fantasy type clothes that female videogame fighters wear that are totally ridiculous and nonsensical? That's what Hunter wears: the great thing about being fae is that you're relying more on magic than might, and you can cater to aesthetics rather than function.
She almost entirely wears shades of teal, red, cream, brown, and black. Her mouth is almost always covered by some sort of cloth, whether it's a heavy scarf pulled over her nose or a silken veil that is translucent enough to show her lips, which are thin and hard. Generally speaking, think ornate but savage--lots of tribal patterns and embroidery, lots of dangling feathers and beads. You can cover her torso if you prefer, especially with broad obi-style belts or long fur-collared coats, and also cover her arms if it pleases you, but her legs should remain bare and her bottom half should be a loincloth. You can add sectioned skirts (mobility is key) to the sides to cover more of her body if you like, and wrap her hooves in fabric or bandages if you like.
I'd love to see her with teal or red "warpaint" around her shoulder/chest/upper arm area.
Design whatever you like, drawing from her art and Tekteks for inspiration. Have fun!

expressions and mannerisms

• she is boyishly-built and has thin and hard features, but she does look like a woman--not a man. She is very much a deergirl.
  
• tends to have a stoic expression which conveys very little about her thoughts, but might put on a snarl or even a quiet smile; she has a generally "submissive" look to her when she isn't fighting, as though she sits quietly and waits her turn--which she does.
  
• her weapons are largely "ceremonial" type weapons--impractically huge axes (you cannot possibly overdo it, feel free to indulge in WoW-levels-of-hugeness), and double-ended spears with attached flags and things. She is deadly when she is armed, but she is equally deadly with her bare hands, and so she tends to fight with things that look impressive or please the aesthetics of her patron, rather than practical gear.

• Draw her with the Queen (see below for more info).
  
• Draw her and the Queen in "courtly" scenes--Hunter receiving favors or kneeling to the Queen, offering her slain boars and wolves, or doing more domestic servant-type things like washing her hair, etc.
  
• Shameless cheesecake with the Queen, but not alone.
  
• If you're drawing her alone, I'd love for her to have a pale pink feather somewhere--her Queen's favor.
  
• Alternately, draw her being a badass: fighting wild animals with her bare hands, things like that.
  
• Full chain or plate armor with the bare deer legs beneath heart heart heart

The Queen is owned by Phoenix Kiss--she is not my character--but I have her permission to draw her refs and get her art with Hunter (although I am not currently looking for solo art of the Queen). She has some Tekteks and art below. You can read her description here.

Petra

age 14
eyes dark brown, large, beneath unruly eyebrows.
hair black, long--mid-back or so--and unkempt. It can be drawn loose or put into a very messy, half-undone braid. It is shorter around her face although she does not quite have bangs.
body type underfed and wiry; petite and hardworked. She is fourteen and even looks a bit younger--please don't draw her with breasts etc.
facial features: a distinctive, full mouth with a deep philtrum and very pronounced cupid's bow is worth noting here. It has a thick scar running across the left side (our right), and she's missing a couple of teeth under it. Her skin is suntanned, and usually smattered with freckled and/or sunburn.
clothes extremely worn peasant gear. She dresses in baggy clothes, and usually has a shawl or something else covering her shoulders--a cloak or something is fine if you prefer to draw that. For shirts think loose cotton--they may have some embroidered, folky trim if you like--and for skirts, heavy and sensible wool or light cotton, usually tucked up into the waist to expose her legs. You might see the bottom of bloomers beneath. Make everything worn, dull, and muddy. No bright colors--neutrals, greens, maybe slate-blues.

expressions and mannerisms

• expressions of anger or fear are best for her. She smiles little and generally comes across as fierce and somewhat feral.
  
• she is frequently armed with a knife or throwing knives, but drawing this is optional.
  
• she has an extremely ugly spotted dog. I don't have a definite mental image for it so feel free to invent it along these lines.

• Draw her with her Hind. Ref here. The Hind's name is Spokelse and is roughly the size of a draft horse, although much more finely-built. She is extremely regal and dignified and Petra does ride her, but she is super tiny next to her so care should be taken that Spokelse looks as huge as she is. Petra often sleeps curled up against the Hind's side. Spokelse's personality is essentially human--she can speak--so she should be conveyed as an intelligent animal if possible, looking self-possessed and thoughtful and perhaps a bit arrogant.
  
• If Spokelse is too much, showing her totem is greatly appreciated too. It's small enough to fit in the palm of her hand and can be held or tied to a string, etc.
  
• Draw her wearing a heavy hood with her bird peeping out.
  
• Draw her being pursued by giant wolves. This is from a nightmare she has relevant to the in-game metaplot and I would be so chuffed to see it realized. The wolves can be stylized--they can even just be huge shadows--go nuts.
  
• Even better, draw her turning to face them with nothing but a little knife.

Fionnghal

age ??? Looks to be around 16-19
eyes typically none are visible, but their shape can be faintly discerned beneath the hazy glow that covers the top half of her face, and they are large and almond-shaped.
hair a long cloud of off-white waves and curls that drifts in an unfelt wind.
body type curvy, shapely, and attractive, verging on plump, with remarkably pronounced and rounded hips and legs that end in deer hooves. She floats above the earth rather than resting on it, and there are tufts of fur at her elbows. She has a pair of long, thin, branched antlers that are rather more vertical than horizontal. From top to bottom she is entirely shades of off-white and gold, and she is faintly translucent. She can be drawn with a faint all-over glow, if it appeals.
facial features: a pleasant, attractively-made face with round, innocent features and a rosebud mouth. The top half of her face is obscured as though by smoke or haze, her eyes lost in their sockets (optional--she can just have blank eyes if you prefer).
clothes none, although she may be portrayed wearing a translucent veil-like gown, if that is preferable. She has no marked sexual characteristics--no nipples or pubic hair, etc.

expressions and mannerisms

• she is a ghost that haunts modern!Taym's weapon/actually is the weapon. Her weapon form can be seen here.
  
• she is not very emotive: gentle smiles or stoic expressions are best for her. She is quiet and submissive most of the time, but has a steely edge when confronted with danger or something she is displeased about.
