Well, I just got back from a visit with him for a related reason... and at least now there's a referral in the works to talk with a specialist about this issue. Which is overdue, frankly -- after five years or so of being run around by this, I'm fed up enough that it's high time to discuss the matter with an expert.
Normally thats the first step?!? YOU need a new doctor wahmbulance

The problem is that all that time was a process of trial and error -- trying to figure out what was going on, and then trying different means to address it.

Actually, for about the last year I was on a medicine regimen that was keeping my digestive system pretty stable... and had the past could weeks not happened, I was prepared to accept that regimen for the long-term.

And now that I've got an appointment set up with this specialist in the near future, I also have to consider that I may have to keep with that regimen if it turns out he can't be a better help.

Specialists are normally 10 times better at figuring stuff out and may find out what exactly might be triggering you system like that. ;[ They're way more expensive but they know wtf they're doing = x=

Plus, this guy is a surgeon... so if it really does come to that, he'd be the one whose knife I'd go under.

Still, the thought of what the bills will say makes me nervous... but if surgery means getting more of my life back, I'll have to face that down.

Ok well thats more assuring. Surgery can sound scary especially if you go under but you'll be ok, more of a super ok.

Surgery doesn't really scare me -- I've been operated on before. It's more the final total when all the bills come in that'll be intimidating. ^^;

But yes, after putting up with this in some form or another for all these years, I've had enough.
