Hm--maybe. I'll try looking into low-sodium broth. There wasn't a ton of chicken broth in it. I thought maybe it was the onion soup packet. Or maybe just me being super sensitive to salt.
xd
Last night, I came up with another recipe. I put my rainbow trout in a baking dish, then added some salt, pepper, and parsley flakes. Drizzle on a little olive oil. Then I put some thin garlic slices and finely chopped onion, then some mild salsa on top of that. I baked it all at like 400 in white wine for like half an hour--really, really good.
I wanted to use tomato, but all I had was salsa... so I had to improvise.
sweatdrop Salsa is a lot cheaper than tomatoes.
Everyone has different tastes. It's something that everyone is used to having when they grow up.
Never tried salsa on a fish before. It is a good mix of ingredients though. I'm sure the fish was nice and moist after it was baked.
3nodding The only catch is that salsa can be watery - especially the cheap knock off brands.
I've noticed that people out here in the states have never tried sun dried fish before. It's basically tuna or akule from Hawaii that's put in a special marinade that sits in a special screen mesh. This keeps the bugs, kids, and pets out. After that, you fry it up in some peanut oil and enjoy.
