Funny, I used to hate Naruto with a burning passion. This was back when it was mainstream. I didn't like mainstream things. But my sister was persistent about bringing it into the house, so I warmed up to it and now I get overly obsessive about it. Haha! I'm keeping up with the Naruto Shippuden manga every week. That's about it. I only watch the anime with my sister and she hasn't been as big a fan as me lately. I'm REALLY behind on the anime. I'm only in the early 200s episode-wise and it was in the 300s last I checked.
Of course, I understand that most people aren't as open to the idea of Neji being the uke between the two of them, but I see it this way. Neji is reserved. He's intellectual and strategic, but does that brain power translate as well when it comes to affection? And who knows affection better than Lee?
Oh, you're not alone... at all. My sister and I LOVE SasuNaru/NaruSasu. It was our first pairing within Naruto. What you say is true. It definitely feels like their friendship ran deeper.
And they've kissed by accident twice now. Huehuehue.
