Since I could hold a pencil, but I've only been drawing like that for a few months.
As soon as you ditch the whole anime/manga thing, it kinda starts falling in place better.
I've also had life drawing classes and studied art for 5 years to get where I am now.

I've been drawing on and off my whole life and have taken a class or two.
The issue I have with drawing is getting the body structure down, I'm awful at it.
But I guess it just takes practice and understanding how the bones are, ect
