It's all to your discretion.
How I do it is by how much I like the art.
The one in my sig I think I payed 4k for it.
It was a freebie, but I tipped.

The ones in my profile, there are 3.
Got them all at once and payed 16k for them (priced) and tipped about 5k.

But I'm an artist and I know how hard it is to get this kind of stuff right.
So I appreciate a lot more than I should I guess.
That and I am very generous.

Right now I love the nightmare, so chain saving for that...can't tip....>.<

I have that same problem. But I've found a solution for it.
I'm getting a Tablet online. It cost $99 but it's worth it.
They send you a copy of PhotoShop and Painter and some other stuff.[/al
