They are quite easy to take care of, but! they have to be at a certain tempurature otherwise they will die. I mean would you want to be in a fur coat at 75 Degrees?

heehee chinchilla fur is very hypo allergenic. HOWEVER they use dust to clean their fur, so if you're allergic to dust that might be a problem.
