I see what you mean about them most likely not being okay with you going back.
But I also see what you mean about wanting to try it again.
Perhaps being home schooled until high school would seem agreeable?
I've found that high schoolers are way more mature.
Almost as if they've gotten sick of all the drama and finally decided it's not worth it.
That's been my experience, anyway.
