Adelaide "Ad" Cross

Basics
Age~ 21
Gender~ Female
Race~ Human
Sexuality~ Straight
Crush/Relationship~ She crushes on James but tries hard not to be weird about it.
Instrument~ Her Epiphone, vocals, and sometimes (when the guys insist) she plays a keyboard for whatever song.

Personality
Easily excitable when it comes to music or their band. She's usually happy, but keeps a cruel smile on her face just because she likes confusing people... By "people", I mean her family. On stage, she's very energetic and loves to get the crowd pumped and singing along with the songs.

Eye Color~ A bright green
Hair Style and Color~ This style but black with purple streaks in the bangs.
Body Type~ Short and thin
Clothing/Styles~ She's always wearing her Silverstein hooded jacket, zipped up but low enough so it can hang off one of her shoulders, underneath, a black tanktop. Jeans and flip flops or converses. She also wears glasses, like the one in the hair style picture. Adelaide is a big fan of ties, too... But only when she isn't wearing her hooded jacket!
Piercings/Tattoos~ Snake bites, four piercings on each of her ears, no tattoos yet. She hasn't really decided what she wants...

History
Adelaide's mother is Paige's mom's younger sister. The two sisters were good at keeping and gaining money. When Adelaide was born, it was obvious she was going to be more of a black sheep than her cousin, Paige. Where Paige keeps her true self hidden from everyone (aside from Accalia and Adelaide), Adelaide doesn't care. She is all about the darker side of fashion. Except not really. She's found herself a comfortable medium between Paige and their parents. She isn't much for drawing unnecessary attention to herself, her music and her voice do that for her.

When she was old enough to read, her mother started with the piano lessons. Adelaide wasn't too fond of the harsh woman that smacked her hand every five seconds for hitting the wrong key. No matter how much she complained to her mother and the instructor, her mother only waved a delicate hand and said something like "Your aunt and I had to endure, you can handle it." After Adelaide passed the instructor's rigorous teaching methods, she was able to understand music in ways she never liked admitting. She even knew composers kids her age never even heard of, causing her to be an outcast. It wasn't until middle school that she found her true musical calling. The guitar. She bought herself an Epiphone, with her mother's approval, and started playing. Of course, her mother only allowed Adelaide to take that thing home if Adelaide agreed to join the chorus.

It was in the high school chorus when James and Dustin discovered her. It was after some pep ralley where she had a solo and they approached her, asked her about joining their band. Having no friends, she jumped in head first! The three became really close during their high school years and their band became talk of the town. Adelaide's parents were even proud of their heathen ways. They normally played in bars until they got into college. Then, they started playing for Frat house parties.

Luck was on their side when a Frat brother told Adelaide his father owns a recording company. Cover it All hasn't made it big yet, but Adelaide is just pleased to be with the guys and having fun.

Instrument~ Fender Jaguar Bass and back up vocals/screaming

Personality
He's a typical womanizer, flirtatious and cocky all the time. When it's just him, Dustin, and Adelaide, he's rather laid back and full of "that's what she said" jokes. During a performance, he concentrates more on shredding it up on his guitar than anything else... Untile Adeliade and him have a guitar solo, then he's focused on where she is... A little too focused.

Hair Style and Color~ Shaggy and black, comes to his eye brows
Body Type~ Tall and skinny, rather lanky to be honest.
Clothing/Styles~ Wears a band tee, jeans, and Vans (the sneaker kind). In the winter, he wears a thick leather jacket.
Piercings/Tattoos~ No piercings or tattoos. Just never around to getting them.

History
James grew up with just his mother, his dad died when he was very young from lung cancer. They didn't struggle, though. But they weren't rich, either. When his mother started noticing his attention gravitating towards guitars, she started saving up money. On his 13th birthday, his mother gave him his Fender. He started learning immediately. He actually started only focusing on just his guitar.

He and Dustin have been friends for quite some time. So, when Dustin came and begged James to help him win against Bryan (Dustin's younger brother), James didn't hesitate! The bet was that whichever could start a band and land a spot in the talent show, the loser would be the winner's slave for two years. Of course James would help! He talked with his mom to see if he and Dustin could start practicing at the house while his mom was at work! She said no. So! They had to use the school's band room after the classes were over.

James actually heard Adelaide before the pep rally, but he doesn't let anyone know. She was practicing in the band room on a day Dustin was running late. He wanted to go in, but he couldn't stomach the thought of talking to her. Every other time he'd come into contact with her, she seemed like she didn't care, that she was too good to communicate with the other students.

Finally, he and Dustin had to attend that ridiculous rally... Their prayers had been answered! A voice that carried so easily and beautifully. And when his eyes landed on her, his heart actually skipped a beat. He played it off though, saying it was her voice that threw him off guard. James insisted on tracking her down right away.

They did. He was surprised how easily she said yes. She even offered her home for them to practice in! When they finally had that run in with that Frat boy's dad, all of James's dreams came true... Well, except the one where he gets over himself and asks Adelaide out...

Crush/Relationship~ A girl from high school. He's gonna marry her! (I'll make her later)
Instrument~ Drums They're his second favorite love! He also has a set of black drumsticks with "Craft" carved elegantly into them.

Personality
Easy-going. He comes off as simple minded, but he prefers people not knowing how smart he is. Can't give everyone the answers to life! A little full of himself and always spouting out random nonsense. "I like bacon." <-- See? But around home, he's a different person. He's controlled and does his best to lighten the load on his mother.

Eye Color~ A dull blue
Hair Style and Color~ He's got a high and tight hair cut and his hair is a light brown. (he has dreams of joining the Marines)
Body Type~ Tall and slender, he's got a nice muscle tone that's not overkill like some kids his age.
Clothing/Styles~ He's comfortable wearing Tripp pants with a shirt to match. Sometimes, when all of his Tripp pants are dirty, he'll wear jeans. His shoes are the skater Vans, since he skateboards sometimes.
Piercings/Tattoos~ No piercings, has Semper Fi on his left wrist in honor of his father.

History
At a young age, about a year after his brother was born, Dustin and Bryan lost their father. Their father was in the Marines and was stationed in Iraq. There was a bombing near his base. Dustin was about six when it happened. Ever since the funeral, he had his mind made up... He was going to be a Marine just like his father.

When middle school came about, his mother forced him into taking band. He was surprised by how taken to the drums he was. His band teacher was pleased with how well he progressed that the teacher gifted Dustin with an old set. The Ludwig set was old and untouched by a loving hand. But Dustin's eyes fell on them and it was love at first sight. Soon, the drums glistened like they never had before. They even looked brand new! Dustin practiced vigorously every day, until his mother came home from work. Then, he would help her around the house to make sure she wouldn't get too stressed out.

Of course, sibling rivalry kicked in and Bryan needed a set of drums for himself! That's when the bet came in. Bryan was headstrong to beat his older brother. Dustin already knew how well James could play, he also knew how terribly they both sang. He was already feeling like Bryan had won the spot in the talent show and felt helpless. Dustin didn't let James know, though. But when that voice struck his hears, his spirits were lifted immediately!

Ready to fall on hands and knees, he begged Adelaide. He was taken aback when she agreed. So they played at the talent show, he won that bet, and made a new friend along the way. But during the times Cover It Up isn't practicing, he's training for the Marines. Sure, he loves the band! But he wasn't planning on throwing away his dream of following his father's footprints for a dream that may go nowhere.
