My paychecks the last few weeks have been terrible.

~She eyed him critically as he tried to irritate her, her eyes rolling as she crossed her arms and gave him an 'Are you done yet' face. She grinned and patted the armor where his belly was~

"I know you're not used to having to work a little for your food, but it could do you some good, I think you're getting a little chunkey, Monkey."

~She smirked up at him before turning away and holding a hand to her forehead, blocking the light from her eyes so she could peer farther. Surveying the area for any sign of safe havens any surviving humans might have made. Looking up above the dead tree line, she could see the faint shades of smoke rising far off in the distance~

"Come on, lets get you some food, when you're hungry you're annoying as all hell."
~She smiled at him before setting foot in the direction of the smoke~

His grin never left him, even as she tried to poke fun. She was entertaining, to say the least. Little brat was lucky she held his interest. She was a quirky little thing. And he'd claimed her as his toy. He watched her as she surveyed the area, snorting at her chunky comment as an afterthought, nodding as he moved with her, eyes closing as he went along.
"S'hard to work for food that can't fight back. I mostly just play with it."
He disregarded her comment about him being annoying when hungry. It was partially true. But that's because hunger was dangerous in ways others wouldn't understand. He rarely had trouble, but these days, food had to be conserved on a much greater scale. Pain in the d**k. But he had company to help him find snacks. One of the many reasons he kept her around.
"Rare as it is, hope there's a fatty up there. Need a goddamn feast for once."

and at that I only worked one full
day and the half friday.
Then 2 days the previous week.

for work the next day D;
