A ForSerious Artist: CG OC portraits

Hey there! I'm Alfred and I'm a portrait artist. But my eyes get tired after a while and it gets hard to see what I'm looking at. So I've got this thread to paint your OCs and practice working sans reference. Tis good fun.

The amount of time I take will vary. Mostly, these'll be headshots. But every once in a great while I might do more. I'll draw every one who posts, (I will do couples art. Yes, for serious. I'm not doing more than two in a picture though), in order until... well until I get tired and either go back to my painting, fall asleep or lapse into endless games of windows pinball. I ******** love that game. Just one request per post if you don't mind, though if I've drawn for you before, I'm going to say it's fine to request again.

Rest assured, I can draw. Here's my current WIP. If you've got a moment and a thought, you are MORE than welcome to give CC.

WIP Nov. 1
This is a real nutjob of a picture, using the extreme lighting from a shot of one person in a painting off a sceenshot of another person. It is SO much fun.
Edit Nov 2: I've softened and corrected a lot of shadows. I'm trying to soften his face a little. He was a bit cheekier at 25 than... well later. Also some fudging with tiny expression crap. I think I've gotten rid of most of the disgusted snear... I'm okay with a little there though. I'm having a bit of trouble with his hair. I'm uncertain how hair of his color would pick up this light.

ORIGINAL CHARACTERS ONLY. Your avi isn't an OC. An outfit is not a character. And cute isn't a personality point. Cute nose, fine. Just cute in general... eh... go get yourself some one who wants to draw chibis. Which isn't to say that I don't do cute. But if it's the only word you've got for the character, I might conveniently miss your post. rolleyes

Wow, every one must be off at the event. I've never seen it this slow.

Name: Cadaver

Age: 25 (appears)

Gender: Male

Physical description: His eyes are somewhat sunken in, the area around them a bruised black. Skin is very pale, defined cheekbones and thin, blackened lips that are usually formed into a broad smile or smirk. His figure is slim and well-toned.

Character description: He's undead, so age really doesn't matter to him. He can remove body parts, function without them, and has a connection with them. A good example would be him removing an eye and placing it somewhere to spy on someone, and him being able to see what it watches without being in the same area/room. Any parts removed will dissolve when Cadaver wants them reattached, and the part will rebuild itself on his body.
His clothes are mainly black, though has been known to have red and/or white included. Never seen without his cane (the head of it is a skull).

Wow, Kyo, I don't even care that no one else has posted yet. That's bloody awesome. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this one!

I'm going off to draw, if I disappear for a bit it's because I've lost myself in a nose or something. ^^ I'm going to try to keep checking back as I work though. I'll pm you when I finish, and also post it in the first post. :3

Name: Nan
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Physical description: Well, for starters the most distinguishing feature he's got is that his right eyes is...not there :'D Poor sucker. The area around it is slightly rotted and reddish, mostly infectious from the top of his cheek bone to about 1/4in above his eyebrow, which is all but a few hairs now. His other eye is a nice light shade of green, some yellowing here and there but mostly a pale hunters green. He has one dimple in his right cheek and and slightly crooked greek nose, very thin and long with a bulbous end adorned with two bridge piercings. He's always smiling and cheerful looking, despite the maimed eye and I guess you could call his smile endearing. Though he's older he resembles more of a teenager or preteen, very soft features and fair skin. He's 5'1" with a little more added with his hair, which stands up slightly in the back. Light ginger hair, like a...like a... straw color I guess? Jaw length in the front and chopped to about 2-3in in the back, sticking up strait at his whorl. A slight cowlick and part on the left, the rest is just messy messy. His ears tend to poke through and both have two loop earrings in the top and one gauge in the lobe, at about a 6.
Character description: Outgoing and annoyingly gregarious, he's the life of any party. He's quick to make friends and always has something to catch your interest with, whether it be a story from his childhood or a new scar he's obtained from tripping over a kitten. He used to live as a servant boy in a Czar's Palace in Russia when he was a child and had a fairly rough life growing up, which he hides most of the time and will only bring it up if someone he trusts mentions it. When alone or just bored he'll often amuse himself with strange noises or messing with the objects around him, mostly bubbles or slurping noises get him right off the bat. A strange accident as a child has left him permanently disabled...in is jaw region. He cannot chew or bite, so he slurps all his food and always leaves him mouth open slightly, thus leaking drool often...another distinguishing characteristic.

I said this the last time I commented on your art, but hoshit, the skin textures are amazing. I love the colours you've put into the WIP. And you drew it proportionally free hand right on your first attempt! *applauds*

If I had an OC, I'd be totally filling out the form. But I don't, so I'll just be admiring your art.
