selling traced or eyeballed art on ebay?

i've noticed a lot of people on ebay sell traces or prints of already existing art, generally claiming it to be original. it's all over the place.

is this even legal?

it's kinda funny, i keep ranting about all the traced crap that pops up on DA, and now i see it being sold on ebay.

ugh. i just get so pissed when i see people getting credit for art they didn't invent.

what's really sad is that she's actually sold many of them. the majority are traced or eyeballed and then crappily colored.

It's awful, isn't it?
And just today, when I went to Fry's Electronics for my fiance to get his networking business startup kit thingy, I saw one of those Godawful Christopher Hart How-to manga books. xP I commented on how shitty Hart's "manga" is and Taller Half asked me why I didn't approve of the guy. Which is because he's just a shitty artist and a bit of a sleaze. And yet he makes buttloads of How-to-Draw books and probably makes pretty good money off them.

So not right. Dx Not when there are better artists with stronger skills and better knowledge to impart.
