So this year I decided to get official and start my own business selling artwork and things that I've made along with the freelance stuff I've already been doing. I've been making a lot of jewelry to start with, and I've made a bunch of charms that I sculpted, molded, and casted in resin so I have multiples, a long with other pendants and rings and what not. My first goal was to start an Etsy Shop, which I have already done. My second goal is to set up tables at easier events like anime conventions. I'm selling at my first convention on March 3rd and I plan on getting a table in the Artists Alley at Otakon this summer.
The thing is, even though my artwork still has an anime-esque style, I don't really know much about any anime anymore, at least nothing recent. I kind of lost interest in keeping up with new anime around when I graduated highschool which was about 6 years ago. I mostly just play video games and read american comics/webcomics lately. I was planning on selling necklaces, rings, pins, and hair clips made with resin video game item charms that I've made, and maybe some chibi drawings of anime characters, a long with my other non anime items. The animes and games that I've referenced for what I have so far don't have a lot of variety so far, though.
So my question is, what would you guys suggest to make and sell at an anime convention? What are things that you know other artists sell, things that you personally would want, or things you have sold if you've had a table at a convention.
Here are some of the charms I have made, these are still works in progress:
