Welcome to Gaia! ::

I know there is a famous artist that paints like this... Or this...
But I cant remember who he is. Does anyone know?

I really love this abstract-realism type of art, with the shading and such with colors you wouldnt expect, and want to learn to do art like this, so I figured checking out some of the masters of this style (Other Than AliceXZs) Might help.

Anyways, do you guys know who it is?
(Also, if you know anything about learning to do art like this, I would be greatly apprecitive.)
I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're thinking of, but are you thinking of Henry Matisse/the art movement of Fauvism? I know he comes to mind with his painting The Green Stripe/Line (I'm not sure which is the more proper title for it)

No it wasnt Van gogh, although I do love his work. mrgreen

Ladykiller

The brush strokes remind me of the Impressionists. Van Gogh I believe was a post-impressionist but the ones that do fall into that category were Monet, Morisot, Degas, and Renoir. (Just to name a few).

In fact you should check out Renoir's Luncheon of the Boating Party.
The background reminds me of Turner.
