Finn and Jake
If that's true, and if it was at a noticeable factor,
then why do we have so many teens online who watch tons of anime,
but still have beginner skills?

That.
Is a VERY excellent point. ._.

no it does not

you know what makes you better at drawing?

drawing from life, and then from anime. if you just draw from anime everything will be ******** up, but if you know proportions and perspectives and all those delicious things that come with drawing from life and actually being not retarded about art, you'll be much better off than you would if you were drawing freehand from anime.

gross.

i admire charles f. ofdensen,

I'm not THAT big into anime, though when I was a kid, maybe 9 years old.. I had fits about one movie in particular. I insisted on studying the culture and art form.

I bought some manga books... THOSE helped me a lot.
As for anime in particular, it helped in a sense that it got me inspired to research the subject.

I don't draw anime. Or watch it.

I don't believe it makes you a better drawer. Anime people come from human bodily concepts. Therefore, practice real life drawings, then try anime.

The first step to solving a problem...is admitting you have one. GAIA?
Comment me?

If you want to ANIMATE in an anime style, yes it will help.

The timing and camera angles are different from US shows/Disney, so STUDYING (as opposed to watching) anime will certainly give you a more "anime" feeling to any animation you're working on.

Hmm...I guess it depends razz I watch alot of anime..and i watch the characters carefully of how they look like..then i try improving my anime drawings sweatdrop

Manga is better for if you want to draw that certain style.
It also helps to study actual people.
Once you get the proportions of a person and how where everything should be on a person, you will draw so much better. Just two months of drawing classes, I have learn loads. <3
