User ImageNot really.
Why? Becuase there can be a lot of anatomy and proportion mistakes in a drawing used as reference, and you drag those mistakes onto your drawings.
Using another drawings as refference, in my opinion, is always a bad idea, you never know when something may be wrong.

In my opinion, it will not make you better, it will just make you copy symbols you like from the shows and further your left brain's library. And of course, the left brain really helps us draw...Oh wait.
"Honey, did you study for your English test?"

"Yeah, mom. I just watched three hours of television. Lots of English spoken there!"

It would depend what you're watching and HOW you watch it. Like, do you study the compositions and lighting schemes, or stare at the screen like a dead monkey all the while? Either way, it's a stretch, and it shouldn't be your main way of learning art.
I agree. It is inspirational.
It depends on what works for the person, I guess. But essentially, studying real life figures will help you more in the long run. If you just study from Anime, you're 'caging' yourself, if I can say that, because your limiting your resources of study to something that can only be seen on the computer/TV, while real life figures you can study at any moment. Plus, studying those kinds of figures gives you a much better sense of proportion. Not that Anime could do the same, but you would probably have to hunt around for the right anime style that fits what you want to study/accomplish.
But as I said, it depends on the person. If they can draw better studying Anime, then go for it, but if real life suits you better, then study that. C:
On the contrary, I think it will make your drawings worse.
Avoid looking at or drawing Anime-style. Instead, study anatomy books (non-stylized ones), and draw from life. Then, you have have a chance to be a somewhat decent artist.
Watching anime might give you ideas for character design but I don't think it helps you get better at drawing.

Not really, unless you're trying to learn animation. Then, you could observe what *not* to do.
I think anime is fun to watch and not to actually learn from but manga is ok. Like many other people said, learning from real people is better for art skills.

watching and reading mangas and also studying art to me improve my skills
If that's true than watching reality TV shows help everyone draw real life. I think manga is better.
Personally, no.
Everytime I watch an anime and then draw afterwards, I just... well... draw. '_' I don't see any decrease or amount of improvement in my work when I do so. One thing that I do find annoying though is when I read a manga and I try to draw afterwards. I start to pick up on that particular manga's art style in my work (even though I reaaally don't want to xp ).
for some people yes for some no it depends on how much times u watch
If that's true, and if it was at a noticeable factor,
then why do we have so many teens online who watch tons of anime,
but still have beginner skills?
