Do you hate when people ask, "what's that?" ................

That question got me into an obscure realm of photography- Abstract photos.

I love it. People are always like "WTF?" And I'm like "Haha" When people ask me what it is, I tell them it's a photo, or a piece of art, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't mind it much. People in my school are pretty nice, so they'll just say, "Woooah! You're well good at drawin'!".
But today someone did come up to me and say "Is that a boob?" when I was drawing a face. O_O
People often ask me why I'm drawing, and I just don't understand that. Why do they care? Is it that irregular? And they ask me stuff like "How can you draw like that?", I never know how to respond to that. XD

Ugh, it's not so much the "what's that?" approach, it's the other things. I enjoy drawing slightly creepy things, just for the hell of it. It's fun, I guess, and it makes drawing more interesting. But, everyone thinks I have issues because of it (Maybe I do?) and they ask me if I'm depressed or something. Or, they become annoying and tell me to add something they think would fit into the drawing. How is drawing fun when it's being manipulated by someone who doesn't want to get out their own paper and draw whatever they want?

OMG this makes me sooooo mad...It's my #1 thing I hate most..

Most of the time I try to be polite. I try to explain to them what I'm drawing... But no matter HOW simple I make it, they still don't get it! It's like non-anime/manga/art people are retarded or something... XD

Person: What are you drawing? *looks completely confused*
Me: Just some cat.. 3nodding
Person: So..what is it?
Me: A cat...
Person: Why did you draw a cat? Did you even draw it?
Me: Yes, I drew it. I don't really know why...
Person: What's it for?
Me: I don't know.. sweatdrop
Person: Is it a cat?
Me: Yes gonk



The conversation usually goes on and makes me extremely angry in the end... These people also manage to make me feel stupid that I draw at all in the first place!

A lot of times I lie to them about what I'm drawing to avoid more conversation. If I'm drawing some guy that looks like a girl in any way, I'll tell them it's a girl so I don't get the typical "NO! That's a GIRL!" response..

Or if I'm making avi art, I'll try to explain that it's a drawing for a website. They get all wierd and sarcastic like "Give me the link to the site (laughs)!" Know what I mean? XP God, it's so annoying...

On the positive side, I am fine with it if someone simply asks what it is, they get it when I explain, and they tell me they like it. heart

Person: Ooh, that is sooo cute! Can I have it?
Some other person: Who's it for?
Me: *Looks up, annoyed.* No. You can't have it and it's for me.
Person(s): WHY?????


Me: ...BECAUSE I JUST TOLD YOU IT'S FOR ME NOW GET THE F**** AWAY FROM ME.

There's this girl named Stevey, and she is soo out of control, and I've always hated her ever since this.....



We have this teacher who was pregnant (and EVERYONE hates her, but appearently, not stevey.) And so she wanted me to draw a pregnant lady holding her tummy, I did, but you know how you just do a BRIEF SKETCH, an OUTLINE, with no clothes? But usually no "nudity detail" ? Yeah well I didn't want to take it home so I left it to her, and I would finish it the next day. She said, "okay" and kept it.


The next day, she gave it back to me so I could finish and guess what was one it?

Mhm, you guessed right.

She drew nipples and "hair"......OMG, I got so mad at her, I should have just dissed her out right there and say, "YOUR A FREAKIN' NASTY WHORE, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? YOU ARE DISCUSTING, UUUGH PERVERTY LESBIAN!" ...ect...

I've never talked to her since then. And I still won't.

Has anything like that happened to you?

yup. this boy once took my drawing of light yagami in a dess and wrote "f**" on it. this was yesterday. i was so mad. i kept screaming at him to stop but he didnt. I couldnt even erase it well so i had to scribble over it and them erase it >.<

I personally hate when you're just starting the initial figure sketch and people ask, "why is she bald?" or "Why is she naked?"

I'M GETTING TO THAT. WAIT 'TIL ITS FINISHED KTHX.

But yes. I hate it when I'm drawing some funky futuristic/fantasy outfit with some fun ornaments and people go "what's that orby/pointy/shiny thing coming out of her hair/belt/boot/bracelet/etc." I don't know. I thought it looked cool. Do I need a reason for everything?

Maybe I'm a bit late with this, but I always get comments about/around those kind... it's so annoying. It's like... what... do people expect a piece to be finished instantly or something?

I always draw crap that can't be named with things that aren't... things (lmfao) and people ask what it is or why it's there. Gahhhh, why can't things just BE to people?
